Hello searching4love: Like yourself this servant believes that it always about devotion, however it is this devotion that places the power into the hands of the Dominant. In return it is the option of the Dominant in how She wishes to excercise this power that has been delivered to Her. In an ideal world every Dominant would be the of the kind and loving persuasion but people being different that might not always be the case. Wants and needs are very diverse in this community. I have played the role of Mommy Domme to many who are looking more for training than to fill a masochistic need. I don't believe in a perfect Domme, but there is no doubt a Domme that is perfect for you.

(smile) I think one of the things I love about being able to come to a site like this, is seeing how people do things differently and how it works for them. One can find just about anything in these pages of this board! lol I think devotion goes both ways. It is maybe different in ways, but in my relationships, the devotion is mutual. Well I'm a motherly type of Domme ... I would want My sub to be devoted to Me for sure, and he would get a lot of love and cherishing from Me. I don't want to interrupt or seem out of place (i know this is a Mistresses forum, and i clearly have nothing that qualifies me as such), but i think that the OP has a point which i find agreeable. One of the mysteries of psychology i've never been able to understand is the whole notion of pain being anything other than bad. I find the whole Mummy play (that's right, I'm an Aussie - or as i've heard it americanised -an arssie) a little bit disconcerting. There was a thread in the subs forum about positive reinforcement, which i like, and think is more wholesome than spanking - well to me anyway. Not meaning to belittle any of Your kinks. Um, what was i saying, yeah, just because the OP wants a benevolent Domme, does mean that he wants a Mum. I can relate to that. sigh

It's OK if you're not into pain mimk. My boy Westie wasn't sure until he tried it. Then he found the endorphin rush to be quite exhilarating. Or maybe it was just the way flogging him makes ME hot that got him going. I'll have to ask him to explain it from his point of view. I'm actually a very loving, compassionate and caring Domme.
