Just to put another face on the scratching question:
I've learned to provide scratching to tops and bottoms who enjoy it. As it happens, I'm sort of tender-skinned, and scratching beyond that sufficient to deal with an itch is both a turn off and apt to draw blood. And because it takes me forever to heal up holes in my skin, I rather object! (The last few mosquito bites I wore for six months.)

Now, when it comes to using fingernails (and I only ever wear what I grow), I will deliberately seize a handful of ass, late in the game, and let my sub feel my nails as a means of silently communicating the degree of intensity I'm feeling...but I'll only do it once if he flinches. I love being scratched..the slow movement of freshly manicured nails running down my back or across my chest...Wow!!...However,i am very ticklish..so i might laugh my head off while it is being done.Of course i am talking about light pressure not digging.

The most unbearable for many of mine, is "flicking" my nails, especially on already-clamped nipples, especially CBT too. A swift nail flick to the balls, really has impact :)

I love to scratch until I draw blood, biting is another for me but I'm into vampirism. Scratching brings on a whole new level to things, new sensations, during sex and during a scene, its all game.

I would like to read about ways of helping scratches to heal.. any ideas or do you just let it heal itself?

i've played with a top lady that exclusively used her nails for pain.

As far as helping scratches heal, I wish (REALLY REALLY WISH) that I had some first-hand experience in the matter, but I would imagine that it would be no different with any other scrapey type of wound. Keep it clean, apply neosporin (or the store brand, I'm all about the Great Value, if you know what I mean, and I think you do). I have to be extra mindful of how I may scratch in the heat of the moment when I am not even aware I am doing it; one playmate doesn't like it at all, another can't get enough. I have been teased that I will have to wear mittens secured with duct tape.

Found an alternative - fucidine - which can be used for this purpose too.

I like to scratch my name or designs onto chests and backs (in red marks, not gashes.)

I Love being Scratched by my Mistress after she gets her Nails done and when she sits down and tells me to come here.
