Musicmystery -> Be the first to call it--Obama's VP? (8/21/2008 2:56:39 PM)

Obama has picked his VP, and will first text message and then announce it sometime between now and Saturday afternoon.

Who is it? Be the first to correctly call it and be recognized for your insight---or at least for your lucky guess!

;-)

Well, since they are planning a couple of big events in Illinois and Indiana, I am gonna guess Bayh.

RealityLicks -> RE: Be the first to call it--Obama's VP? (8/21/2008 3:28:57 PM)

Tyra Banks?

Biden, to help mask his total inexperience and lack of foreign policy credentials

pahunkboy -> RE: Be the first to call it--Obama's VP? (8/21/2008 4:01:15 PM)

Hillary.

sappatoti -> RE: Be the first to call it--Obama's VP? (8/22/2008 9:00:36 AM)

McCain.

Thadius -> RE: Be the first to call it--Obama's VP? (8/22/2008 10:37:49 AM)

Robert Gibbs just stated "We may not even reveal the pick until Wednesday, when Barrack walks on stage with his pick."

They are definitely doing a good job of keeping up the hype.

Not really, some of us don't care one way or the other.  So, no hype here.

Vendaval -> RE: Be the first to call it--Obama's VP? (8/22/2008 10:57:27 AM)

My guess would be either Evan Bayh or Joseph Biden.

By hype I mean they are keeping it in the top of talk on the various 24/7 news channels.

I have a friend that is usually pretty good about these things that is telling me that it is a pretty good possibility that the announcement will come by 5pm eastern today, he figures that it makes the most sense for a time as it will put it at the top of every local evening news cast on a Friday.

We shall see, I am still thinking Bayh.  However, with all the buildup, perhaps it is going to be a surprise pick.

i'm in the "don't care" crowd...seems that each time we elect a President, it gets to be more & more show biz & less about the real job...this little act of his just cemented my resolve not to vote for him...& i lean more toward the left as a general rule...i can't in all conscience vote for McCain either, so once again, i am left with no choice, just like the last time & the time before that, ad infinitum...the last time i really cared about a candidate was Shirley Chisholm & we see how far she got...*sigh*  back to my cave........

I'm strictly in the middle.  I go for whatever candidate is going to serve me best.  These two, well neither will serve me at all in my best interests....so that also leaves me with no choice.
Anyway's it is a presidential election..the only election we have where our vote doesn't really count anyway.

I'm getting much more involved in state politics anymore.  At least I can have a say there.

Biden would leave alot of shots open though, especially with his position on the war, and not that long ago (in relative terms) saying that he would be willing to run on a McCain ticket.

That would make for an interesting campaign pick though.

Hello sexy almost a momma again,

Do you really think Dems would have a problem with him?  Or do you think they would overlook it because of what he brings to the table?
