MsMinx811 -> Great toys I found on the Cheap!! (8/22/2008 9:18:25 PM)

I am relatively new at this although I have had these tendancies to Dominate things in my life for a very long time and am so glad that I found here.  So with that being said I am excited that I read post after post in the Archive about stuff for Toy kits that I just had to go see what my devious, creative, and so sinister little mind could find.
First walking in I found some clips that were for bags of chips and these were the small ones and I just had to smile.  It was one of those goofy "I have a secret and you can't know it kind,Nananana" that kids get.  Then I got excited when I saw a Feather Fan.. But was dismayed when it really was too flimsy for any thing useful.
I went down the laundry aisle and found a medium size bag of Plastic multi-color closthepins. AHAHA!! my first real toy that I found, it was better than the first clips and gripped better and easier. and was three colors. I went on the back wall and found in there with the cooking Utensils not plain Wood, but  Bamboo Large Spoons,Spatulas and slotted versions of both each in bundles together of two. I bought two sets to have one of each.
I had read somewhere that Bamboo was stronger than wood and so it was a bit better if you could find it; But all I kept finding were ones that were like 3 or 4 dollars a piece and I know that's not alot but for ONE spoon,  compared to getting TWO for a Dollar it seems like I would keep those in the kitchen not in my toy bag.  I tested them out on my Hubby last night and the leave a nice red and warm spot with not a lot of swatting power behind them, all the better for me I say.[sm=whap.gif]

To Top it all off they have a brand new Shoe store right beside them and I found the most perfect pair of Lace up, knee high, Black(real) leather boots with a reasonable heel of 2 1/2 inches and in my size for only $30.  I  got a strange look when I squealed for finding them but told the lady I had looked every where for boots for [sm=domme.gif]halloween costume.  She even told me about them getting more stuff in.  And these are the comfortable kind not the Pleather things on interenet sites that just look good unless you pay $100 or more and most of the time lots more.
I'm sorry if this sounds Rambling I'm just excited and wanted to share my shopping trip. I'm thinking of chaning Dollar Trees name to Domme Tree, It fits.. I think?[sm=lol.gif]

And I know.. The smiley's are childesh but I'm simply expressing myself when there is no way else to except through this right now. I simply think they are masterful wonder peices of code.

Welcome to the lifestyle [:)]

I've found from ***painful*** experience that the rod on used to turn mini-blinds is a great substitute for a cane. But be prepared to replace them because they do break when used with alot force. I've had many broken over my backside.

LotM -> RE: Great toys I found on the Cheap!! (8/25/2008 5:06:58 PM)

For those into cupping. These kits are quite expensive $60+ at most BDSM toy sites for the pump variety. These stem from Chines medicine and you can get a very extensive set for less than $45 shipped. Kits start as low as about $6. Check ebay and serach for 'cupping kit'. in all categories and see the results.

I have one on order and figured to share.

And yeah, I to am a big fan off Dollar Tree. their $1 hairbrushes are nice spanking toys as well...

Another great example to show people that this lifestyle isn't all that "expensive."  In my opinion, it's more about how how to scavenge for things and look for things at the 99-cent store (California) or the Dollar Tree. =) I must admit that I, too, have been to Dollar stores from time to time with a "mission." All stores are toy stores to me.  Dollar Tree yields back scratchers and fly swatters, and of course, all kinds of clips and clothes pins.  Container Store, Home Depot, School Supply all are good.  The best, of course, is the local tack-shop.  We also have "Couples Mega Outlet" here which sells all the standard name-brand dildoes, vibes and plugs, but at about 50% of what you'd pay anywhere else.  They also carry exceptionally sexy shoes at great prices, and tons of cheap porn.  But I do wonder, when did Lube get so expensive?  I buy the Target brand "Personal Lubricant" which is about like KY and $1.25 a tube, and J-Lube from the tack-shop.  (Makes about 20 gallons for $10)  J-Lube is weird stuff - I always make it about the consistency of snot, and love leaving a cup of it behind on the hotel night stand.  Tee hee hee.  The painter and I went to a Motel 6 where the carpet was just shampooed so the floors were all slippery, and one of the pillows had mildew growing on it - but we were much too engrossed to leave at that point...we got goobery J-Lube all over the fucking place.

I learned about Economy BDSM 101 from a former Mistress, Who took pride in delivering pain and discomfort with everyday things. She had a delicious bag of quality toys, but the one impliment that left a lasting impression was a good old-fashion wooden hair brush. She could swing that number with speed and accuracy, and the bristle side was perfect for abrasion play. She derived great pleasure from nipple abrasion, using inexpensive 3M sanding pads, sandpaper, wire brushes, and a multitude of other hardware store items. With a little imagination, you can find good toys in about any store.

And just to make another entry on this one.. I know all of you know this already but I just now found it because I needed one. I found a 24" riding crop with leather tag at the end for 6.95 at Stockdales in their horse department and don't even get me started on their spur collection, I like them better then a Wartenberg wheel and I can wear them if I ever choose to.  I even got a mini one that was a key chain that had little pastry wheel like spikes on it and hubby got a little excited at that feeling on his skin in the store no less.  I Will have to save up to get the ones I want but I think I will get them soon He liked them alot and he liked a leather slapper like thing they had there too and it was only 9.oo dollars and made just as well as any I've ever seen. and I got a drool ball gag from the Dog section it is a spiked looking dog bone that even has pre drilled holes in it. I just have to put them all the way through to make it work, I like the look of it and it was only 4.95, Stockdales is now StockDom in my house and my hubby came up with that one.
I'm going to work on my Flogger next, Got a stair railing that the Square ends are being cut off and then I gert to start my fun from there..It is a typical 36" double square ended with a narrow spindle in the center that is from Dom Depot and any help to make it a proper flogger would be appreciated.  I did have the idea of drilling out the round inner pieces once I cut the square off and putting round lead fishing weights in it to balance it out and epoxying it in but beyond that I'm still not sure what leather to get or what, I do have access to a Tandy Leather outlet store here in town if that will help.  I know I can buy one from one of the most excellant craftsman on here and I more than likely will in the future do so for more expansive tools, but I just want one that has my sweat and feelings in it first even if it is just for me.
Any thing beyond a simple starter flogger and I'm going to the proffesional artisan leather guys .. And that goes for what I really want,  A flogger that has fur on some of the strands and then thin and thick strands too all in the same flogger if possible, on a twisted metal handle but that is for when I have the real money to buy it.  Not now, But that is just an idea that I have in my head.
Anyway, thank you if you can help on my first idea for my handmade one for me.

thanks,

Some other economic places to score BDSM stuff are hardware stores, boating supply stores, like West Marine, and even Tractor Supply. Mmmm, hardware....

WyldHrt -> RE: Great toys I found on the Cheap!! (9/8/2008 8:11:46 PM)

I make my own floggers, and they are seriously on the cheap. 2 thick rope floggers cost about $14 to make (a couple dollars more if you dye the falls), so $7 apiece. Smaller ones cost about $5 or so each. I bought a soft leather hide for a little under $50, and now have 3 nice leather floggers, all different sizes/ styles. Next up is a thicker hide that will make 4-5 new floggers, including one with more falls than the ones I have now. I also made an adjustable spreader bar from a painter's extension that fits nicely in my toy bag , cost- about $5.

Feel free to mail me on the other side for a few tips on making floggers, MsMinx.

One of the  best consistantly inexpensive , and wonderfully useful finds , are cloth or canvas belts that have holes all along their length .  That way one size fits all.   They can be tightened down for wrists and ankles - or even joined together to wrap around whole bodies with arms held at the sides .    With many of them up and down the body , someone can be quite comfortably and firmly held .     Looks nice too !    [;)]

My good 'ole neighborhood Goodwill store has bunches of 'em  in many colors !
