Everyday I wake up I wish for different things.

Today it was "World Peace."

Always, knees2you[sm=bowdown.gif]

I never get beyond wishing for it to be the weekend so I don't have to go to work.
I’ve never really wished for world peace because humans wouldn’t be happy with it. In the matrix the first world the A.I. created was perfect but humans just couldn’t exist that way, it had to have huge imperfections for people to get a sense of achievement out of trying to make the world perfect.

every day i see or hear of something that makes me wish the world was a better nicer place for kids to grow up in. [sm=banghead.gif]

i usually wish for things that i can control in my own little corner of the world.  yes, world peace would be great but where to start with just one person?  that can be an overwhelming wish if you're goal oriented like i am.  some mornings i wish to simply make it through my work out, or to make it through the work day.  sometimes it is wishing for a hard situation to end quickly for my kids, or a wish to be as pleasant as possible to everyone i come across.  i usually wish for things that i can control and help along in some way, wishing for things that are impossible just frustrate me so i've learned to pare it down a bit and make them realistic for me.

My every morning wish is a selfish one. As I wake up and in that weird twilight stage between sleep and awakeness I wish for the same thing every day. I wish that 'today please let my body be totally functional and no overwhelming pain'.

This morning had an added wish, that the showing of my house goes really really well, that they make an offer for the full price plus 60 days for me to move. [:D]

My wish has been the same everyday since september 27th 2007 and that is "I wish that i could have another chance with Jerry" :(

sujuguete -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 6:59:11 AM)

My every day wish is that my ex would just leave me alone.  His sole purpose in life seems to be to make mine more difficult!  Why can't the man move on?

Daddysredhead -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 7:00:59 AM)

*hugs Sub4*

I wish that life would be easier for my family and that the day to day would not be such a struggle.  I wish that everyone who is special to me would know how much I love them, so that in case the last time I saw them, the last words I spoke to them, were the last - I'd have no regrets.

christine1 -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 7:02:39 AM)

i wish i could hug red.  (you're making me a little emotional girl!)

Daddysredhead -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 7:05:38 AM)

*hugs to my dear sweet christine*   It's true though.  I never want to have my last words or actions with someone be terrible and have to think that I never made it right.

Sub4You4UKOnly -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 7:08:48 AM)

*hugs daddysredhead back* thanks for that :)

christine1 -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 7:09:39 AM)

i hear you Red....that is a fear of mine as well.  the good thing is, is that we have complete control over what we say to our loved ones.  everytime i leave the house or get off the phone with my kids, i always tell them that i love them.  sometimes that can be several times in a day but i say it anyway and they do too.

Daddysredhead -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 7:15:46 AM)

You're so welcome, Sub4.  [:)]

Christine ~ I do the same thing.  I always say "I love you" when I get off the phone with the kids, my dad, my family, and even some of my close friends.  It makes my heart feel good to think that if the last words a person hears from me are "I love you" then that memory can smooth over a dozen times when the words were less sweet.

*wishes to adopt Red as my sister*

Every morning I wish that there won't be any traffic tie-ups on I66-E.

WC...  that road is pure evil.  Knowing you are in the mess each day makes my stomach turn for you.   Please be careful as you travel, and I wish you hassle-free commutes!  [:)]

Lynnxz -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 4:08:34 PM)

I am simple today... I wish it wasn't raining, I want to skate.

LaTigresse -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 5:34:41 PM)

For better or worse I never wish for anything in the morning. Unless it's to peek over at the clock and see an earlier time than it probably will be.

masterofdrkness2 -> RE: Everyday I wish? (8/23/2008 5:50:06 PM)

everyday I wake up and wish the alarm clock would die a very violent death
