I spoke to Steel tonight, and he is having browser issues, and therefore difficulty getting back to CM.
He has worked out his childcare issues and even has a backup plan. Go Steel!
Due to his wife's work schedule, the bash will be Thursday, Oct 16, 2008 thru Sunday, October 19, 2008.
Steel mentioned in his original thread that he has given up on his birthday, because it has sucked for a number of years (and not in that good slutty way either). So what we need to know is, who is serious about going? If no one will be going, then we will be making alternate plans (since he doesn't gamble, there is no reason for him to go to Vegas unless other people are going).
So, are ya serious? Are you going to go?
It would be advantageous to have everyone under one hotel roof; however, we do understand that people's budgets will vary greatly. I told Steel I would do some legwork on trying to find a reasonably priced hotel that had GOOD beds (having just spent a weekend in a reasonably priced hotel with CRUMMY beds, I don't want to repeat that). If you have budgetary concerns, and don't want to post dollar amounts here, feel free to drop me a note on the other side with as much info as possible (how much you can afford, what's important to you such as room service, etc.), and I'll do some research.
