girlygurl -> What do you like to be called? (8/25/2008 9:46:19 PM)

When ending a phone call today with Sir I said, “bye I love you honey”  It was the first time in nearly two years that I’ve called him anything other than Sir.  We both got a chuckle out of it.  I have on many occasion called Him something such as “my sexy Sir” or something like that, but it always ends with Sir.  I love calling Him Sir… but sometimes I feel overly mushy and want to call Him something else.
Do you allow your s-type to call you a pet name or an endearing name?

Sure, it's a symbol of intimacy for us.

Exactly LA that's how I feel.  Other than telling Him I love Him constantly... which I suppose I could, it would be nice to call Him something mushy [:)]

girly (Dang I love that man!!!!!!)

My name in RL means 'Sir.' In at least 5 different languages. And 'King' in a couple others.  (And 'dark stranger' in one... but I digress.) sooo... it's like this.

If I'm with a slave that knows this, and she addresses me by my name, and her tone is just so... the feeling of an insider secret, and her loyalty and homage; bingo.

That probably doesn't help you though.  Depending on region and personal style, 'Boss', 'mon capitan', 'my king', or similar titles implying authority would work.

There are few things that bother me, as long as they are true, or at least close to true.  Personally I'd rather my girl call me asshole than honey, cause it's closer to the truth.

Unless I had set a specific protocal on how I was to be addressed a submissive may call me anything (respectful, or close enough) they wish. Attempting to stifle feelings of closeness or fondness are certainly nothing I would wish to do with a submissive, and names such as those espeically for girls I have found, allow them to feel closer to the one they are addressing.

I have found that most people don't mind being called anything complimentary.  If I see that an incoming phone call is from my Master I often answer it with, Hi, Handsome.  There are times when following protocol is right and sticking to predetermined types of titles, others when conversation is more free.  I call my Master by many pet names and have never been reprimanded for any of them.

I have to agree.  It is all in the tone and intended meaning for me.  Unless we're in the middle of a 'scene' where she has been given specific instructions, I enjoy the creative pet names she comes up with.  They can be endearing, funny, but always intimate.

On a side note:  The sudden use of certain D/s words or titles can have dramatic effect.  We can be in the middle of just about anything, but if I suddenly use the title, "Pet", that one word changes everything.  We can go into a whole new world with just a word.  I rather like that.  The instant change from a casual conversation or even a fight into D/s mode is quite a thrill for both of us.

Every so often she calls me "Hon" or "Honey".

She loves.  She obeys.  I am pleased....regardless of the mode of address.

i first need to be called on the phone to answer your request...of figuring out what i want to be called.

Solipsistic -> RE: What do you like to be called? (8/26/2008 9:44:42 AM)

I don't mind pet names; they are terms of endearment, after all.  However, I did have to draw the line at 'baby doll'. [:'(]

IronBear -> RE: What do you like to be called? (8/26/2008 11:33:10 AM)

Personally, I desire to be called 10 minutes early for breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner and ten minutes after unwelcomed guests have left. regarding pet names, seeing that family and friends usually call me IB or Bear and business associates ferer to me as Colonel, I honestly don't mind what I am called providing it is done so with good taste and perhaps some humour. Servants (collared slaves) will know when it is inapropriate to use any other form of address than that which they have been taught according to the protocols laid out. However terms of endearment are acceptable when alone or in bed. Whilst I am flexable and perhaps lax at times, those who know me know also I am a stickler for protocol and correct proceedures.

Yes, In fact I enjoy it too... totally acceptable in my book.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: What do you like to be called? (8/26/2008 12:50:06 PM)

I enjoy terms of endearment, and I use them a great deal.

MasterDragon1963 -> RE: What do you like to be called? (8/26/2008 2:06:22 PM)

When we are alone, my slave addresses me as Master, or responds "yes Sir". When in the company of vanila, she uses "Sir" or "dear". When around family, she uses "hunny".

In private I call her slave, property, slut, or even precious to name a few. In public, she is simply "girl". Around family, she is "precious".

We do not use each others birth names unless absolutely neccessary, when nothing else will do, which is rare.

My dear little one calls me 'Master' when we are alone and 'Sir' other times too. When she is feeling slightly cheeky, she calls me 'Master Ed, the Talking Horse'!!! What can I do?? You have to laugh, dont ya!! It cracks me up! LOL
