I am officially a grandmother now.

sort of

My hamsters (both male???) are the proud parents of at least three teeny lil pink babies. Cool beans.

I have no idea what to do with them though. I mean, provided no one eats them ...

That is sweet.  Have you named them yet?

Guess the pet store didn't grab what they swore they did hrm?

Better separate the parents or your going to have more bebe hammies in a few more months.

So when do we get to see photos of the grandhammie babies!?

And you will quickly want to separate all of the siblings.

Or get a big pet snake.

My nephew supplied a local pet store with all of their snake feeding needs one year.

Give them a nesting box and mom will probably move them to it..move dad out of the cage and into his own tank..DAD is the one with the large lumpy hind end and the space between genitalia and anus...rats, hamsters, gerbils and mice all have remarkably large testicles for thier size. http://www.hamsterific.com/HamsterUniversity/SexingHamsters.html the babies should be hanging onto mom so that may make it easier.

This is a good site for information on what to do to raise the pinkies aka pups http://www.hamsterific.com/hamsters.cfm

Good luck

OK there are actually four pups.

And I haven't named them because I don't want to get attached and then have them die or get eaten or something. I've heard that can happen ...

So I went from having two hammies to six in one night. OMG.

Thank you for the links. :)

And I don't think I can remove the dad because he's taking care of the babies as much as the mom is. I don't want to disrupt their happy home. (NO CANNIBALS!!)
