NotNutsReally -> Profile question. (8/26/2008 12:50:14 PM)

I just recently contacted someone on CM who complained that my profile was too vanilla. I made it that way intentionally. I always got the sense that the people whose profiles were loaded with kink talk or listed some huge list of bdsm related interests came off as creepy or fakes or both (btw I don't think I'm either). Thinking about it I suppose there is a balance to be struck. So I guess my question is where is the line which divides being informative and being creepy?

lol. some people are never satisfied. actually I like your profile alot. it is light, humorous, and it makes you seem like an interesting guy to know.(the bi comment specifically.)  I don't know, maybe putting alittle BDSM content would help, but don't know. basically, you have to put in, what YOU are comfy with.

Your profile states explicitly that you are not actively looking now.  So what use are your D/s preferences?

You're not going to please everyone with your profile. Get used to it.

Bah.  More profiles should be like yours.  The only thing I'd change is filling out the BDSM likes/dislikes check boxes.  I like the focus to be more on the relationship than the scene, but it's also important to know if any of my hard limits are the things you love and vice versa.  Otherwise, it's the best profile I've seen in quite some time.

NuevaVida -> RE: Profile question. (8/26/2008 3:26:24 PM)

My profile is pretty  much all "vanilla", whatever that means, anyway.  I'm not looking for someone to whack me around; Assuming I were looking for something in the first place, it would be for a connection with someone in which we can have fun with the whackings.  BDSM will supplement that connection.

It hasn't stopped interesting people from contacting me, and in fact, has caused someone very intriguing, interesting, and funny to engage in some really cool conversations with me.

My profile is to present what I want to present about myself.  Anyone wanting to know more can give me reason to want to reveal more.

Maybe you could put more about what you are seeking in a partner.  What qualities you would like her to have and not have.  Like smoking, body type (if any), if you want a woman to be more submissive or more Dominating.  I know that the list on the left is there to show people what you are into, but it doesnt hurt to put up a few of your things that you really enjoy doing in the life in your profile itself.  People are judging you here based on what they read.  The more you have about who you are, and what you are looking for the better the understanding will be on if the peevers will "fit" with you.  Just a few thoughts.  :D

Yeah I'm creeped out by anyone with fairies on their body. Damn pixie dust.

I checked out your profile. Very nice. I love the fairies and the ink. Your cat is beautiful. Perhaps my next ink will involve a fairie. When I find the right one. I know she is out there somewhere with all her fairie dust hiding from me. Darn Fairie.

I like your profile. I like the humor in it. Made me smile while reading it.  I wish you good luck in your search and all your journeys..

Hmmm, so far you've gotten no less than six people to view your profile.

Excellent strategy I must say, good job.

I would have looked, but I read your moniker as NoNutsReally

and it totally creeped me out.

Carry on.
