~fast reply~ One other thing about permanent piercing -- since permanent piercings are usually just one or two piercings, they make for very short 'scenes', since there is just a single puncture and placing/closing the jewelry. After the piercing, the area that was just pierced becomes "off limits" for play until the healing period is up (the healing period for nipples is 3-6 months -- no oral stimulation, no flogging of the nipples, no pulling on the piercings, etc.) so this is something that has to really be planned for. Doing a piercing early in a scene can bring the scene to an abrupt halt if there are any issues, and the things that can be done -after- a piercing has been done need to take the new piercing into consideration (for example, depending on how a St. Andrew's Cross is set up, it is important to make sure that the piercee's nipples are not in contact with the cross, and that a flogger or crop doesn't wrap the newly pierced nipple).
