I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice this, but I find it fascinating that so many profiles appear so angry at people who they have yet to meet. This isn't a complaint but more of an observation. I like reading profiles, just for the fun of it, mainly because I'm fascinated by people and how they represent themselves. Earlier today, I seemed to be inundated with profiles that seemed to take the narrative of: "If you contact me for ANY reason whatsoever, I will block you, find out who you are and where you live, run over your little kitty cat with my SUV and then tie all of your shoelaces together until you fall down over and over again!" And then the ever popular: "You only get one chance with me!" Really? I'm not sure my kitty cat wants me to take that chance. He's already hiding in the corner trying to mentally tell me to go to the next profile.

Anyway. Just an observation. Not telling anyone to stop, or that we need to do anything about it. Besides, if the angry profiles ended, then I'd have to focus only on the crazy profiles.

I LOVE this topic.  I've often wondered the same.  I even went so far as to ask a dom how it (the profile) was working for him.  He answered "Made you write to me, now didn't it?"  Had me stumped!

Haha stumped indeed. I also like to roam the profiles to observe people and have notice there are some that are not very inviting.. But I personally think this is mostly due to deter the 'fakes' on the site. Anyone who is real and compatible with that person would be intigued. While others such as yourself and me, dont find it appealing  It expresses their personality and what you would expect from that person.. some people like that.. Other like a more friendly approach haha Did i repeat myself?

At one point  a few years ago I had the most ridiculous profile EVER!!!!  It was to prove a point, and it was so hilarious that I left it up for quite a while.  It started out something like..."ok worms.."  and I can't remember the rest, it was long, humiliating, insulting, and truly a nightmare.  I know that somewhere it included "you will only have one opportunity".

It definitely proved a point.  I had so many emails that I couldn't read them all each day.  The people that claimed that they wanted the most stern Domme and wanted to be treated like garbage and crawl at my feet were in the hundreds.  And most of their profiles were that dark color blue and contained language like: "I am the most hardcore Dom you will ever meet".  Heh.

I understand the resentment that many people carry towards the online players that schedule meet and greets and never show up.  They get angry or hurt and they show it on their profiles, thinking that if they are stern and hard from the beginning they will eliminate those players.  Nope, sorry, won't work.  Those people don't care what they are told upfront, they are into playing games and you have just made yourself a bigger target for them by saying you don't want them.

"But I personally think this is mostly due to deter the 'fakes' on the site."

yea barbie when i had my profile up i never received one msg from the actual female mistress i was seeking... i only received from men sub or dom...  i did get a couple from mistress's off the forums...still they were not interested in my profile...just commented on my posts/pictures/tattoos.  so the search was stopped because it was completely pointless to try.

ROFLOL  your take on this is hysterical! Thanks for making me laugh so hard I almost wet my pants. As you can see I'm easily amused!
I love reading the posts, the profiles... everything. There are some very entertaining people on here. I think perhaps the angry profiles are designed to "weed" out people who are not serious and the flakes.
It certainly does take "all kinds" to make the world go round!

Darn it.  Now I have to read mine to see if it's angry or crazy.  I was thinking it was just eccentric.

This makes me giggle!  This guy that ripped into me earlier this week and got blocked after the third email perved me AGAIN today!  WTF?  He has this mini rant about people only making excuses for not meeting.  Whoooops!!  I only want to date local guys, what a CHEAPASS excuse.

I think the angry profiles do weed out the people who are not serious. Because I'd bet the people who are not serious are the only ones who respond to the profile that was supposed to keep them away.

Some of them are incredibly entertaining though, especially when they go on a rant and start naming all the "bad doms" who sent them a message and then blocked them so they couldn't respond.

I had this problem when I was searching. How do I weed out the douche-bags without sounding completely bitter and angry about everything? Now that I'm in a relationship, it's easier... I just have my "go away trolls" haiku.

I have that same local guys only criteria in my profile.  And I only want friends!
LOL but I get guys from the other end of my state (its a big state!) who tell me they travel frequently and will find time for us to connect.
What about dinner?  A movie?  What do you mean you only want a stop and blow??

There's lots of frustration.  Lots of subs who say what they feel they should say, rather than what they mean.  They pretend to have interests A, B, C, D, and E, even though they just share the Dom/me's professed interest in A. After a while, a meeting is arranged, and then the sub starts thinking about B-E.  Or the whole idea of a meeting so s/he chickens out.  Maybe s/he was never truly serious.  The Dom/me's effort to prepare for the meeting is thus wasted, and the hand-holding of the sub is wasted.

I'd get angry, too.  And if expressing that anger screened out these fakes, all the better.  I've lived this scenario and known people who have, and it ain't fun.

I love those angry sub ones, that will ALLOW a Dom to this and that and then demand that they be treated as a princess or whatever ect, and will only respond if said Doms send a 3 page litterary essay about themselves and must have blah blah becuase they have been hurt and men are bastards ect.
Then you see them whinging on forums and in chatrooms about "why cant I find a partner"

hmmm geee I wonder.

But yeah I love reading profiles and journals especially the crazy ones

It's an interesting perspective. Back in the days when people cared enough to go out and protest wars, there was a saying- "If you aren't angry, you aren't paying enough attention." Perhaps now it's moved on to "If you aren't angry, you must be crazy"?

Now I want to put together a profile with a Maddox/Sam Kinison-style profanity-laced stream of insults and see how many people actually read it but write to "her" anyway.

Interesting SoulPiercer that you should mention the above.  I did at one point post a "rant" in my blog naming people (men) who messaged me pretending to be women who wanted to chat about the lifestyle only to find out it was a man trolling. And yes I did post member names and blocked them. If your purposely deceptive you don't deserve a chance to respond to me.

Perhaps the angry profiles from both submissives and Dominants would not exist at all if this lifestyle did not seem to have an overabundance of the mentally infirm, unstable and outright abusive personalities so very much associated with it.

Thanks. For some reason, they always move my posts to boards where I rarely post.
