I'm sorry, there is no "south Detroit".  Messed him up for me completely.

Had the same thought myself!  At least there's a "Down River" which provides similar implications to those made by another Misstress, err "Lady" that is, on the boards... [;)]

And, how do we spell that?

LBB,

Look, I know you are having a bit of an identity crisis, because you foresee yourself being looked down upon because you like to give it up for a Mistress...  But you don't really need to be. Sure, your straight co-workers (should they find out) would rib you about it mercilessly... but honestly, how much do they need to know about your private life? After all, you probably know knothing of theirs.

The earlier poster who told you that you need to put things in perspective is quite right. There are far worse things than being a submissive male. (Try growing up a bi male in the middle of Illinois farm country sometime.)

Get a copy of the "Bottom Book" by Dossie Easton, and maybe "The Tao of Pooh" by Ben Hoff. Those were two books that helped me find self-acceptance. Good luck to you.

Submission in only a state of mind.  You don't have to be a doormat like has been mentioned above.  So you are a submissive straight male...that is ok...you submit to the one woman who wants to own you.  Be nice to the other women and screw the rest!

the end of the world as we know it.

And I feel fiiiine! (to also give a tribute to REM alongside Journey; they are as much rather excellent musicians as Rather's excellent musicians)

Cheers,

Don't make it more than it is.  I have known this about myself for many years.  It does not make you less of a man or weak.  Celebrate the strength of serving your lady.

Be true to yourself .........very simple but very true words.  When you finally find the Domme of your dreams it all be worth it!

                  Best of luck!

True, but it is one of the better states for my money.

Again smart words.

Just how well informed are the opinions of the ignorant?

Ummm...  I don't think Mistress would be happy if I were to "Be nice to the other women and screw the rest" of those women; which I'm confident is not what you intended to convey, but could have been construed or misinterpreted as meaning by those who read things quickly. [;)]

(shrug) I've always preferred "Styx"...

I recently realized that I am truly a straight submissive male, and it scares the hell out of me to think of the societal implications this will have in a predominantly male dominant world.

It has been said, by whom I do not know, that many can withstand hardship, few can withstand contempt.  Being what you want to be and simultanously to suffer the taunts and jibes of ignorant fools because of it would not be an easy thing.  But there again is anything worthwhile achieving easy to acquire?
