Thoughts:

As a rule, female submissives tend to be less interested in dehumanization than men are.
I also don't think that the "pet" identity has been around as long as "submissive" and "slave", so even people who might fit that criteria may not use the phrase.
You'd probably have better luck if you searched for "kitties" instead- IMX the majority of pet players tend to identify with a particular animal, and cats seem to be far and away the most popular choice for women.

i have to disagree with this
pets have been around for a long time
weather it was part of the BDSM comunity or where pets first started in the furry comunity ahnd furries have been around longer tahn you think just think back to whene disney land and world opened
And i dont agreee with the Dehuminization thing you mention about Men and Women
just my 2 cents

If you are talking about people who enjoy an animal headspace, I think the word to goodle is furries. They enjoy animal ear headbands and animal butt plugs and identify as a particular animal.  However, people who do this also tend to enjoy sharpening their claws on the furniture, biting, barking etc. Not just the cute baby animal stage, but the whole thing including feral play.

huh  -  what does disneyland have to do with furries?

Possibly the strangest bear-deer-furry-orange-nipple-squirting video I have ever seen, and I thought of this thread when I saw it.

I never like to say wrong so i wont but i will say i don't agrees with this
I am a furrie i have a real that goes on a belt i have paws and i have airs not on a headband either

i don't mind a tail but plug but furries are not all about what you say i know some who like this but they are not furries
I have been a Puppy Involved in the BDSM Seen for about 10 years now
I was a puppy before i knew what BDSM was and way before i ever heard of a furrie community's before

My dom and I like to engage in puppy play every now and then.  It's not a 24/7 thing since it would be difficult at times, but the play usually lasts for several hours.  During which, I'm on a lease and collar, on all fours, and eat/drink out of a bowl.  He'll have me do tricks like stay, sit, beg, roll over, etc.  He'll usually reward me with a yummy treat!

Pets that want to be locked in a cage and only taken out to play with are lazy.  A smart dog can be trained to fetch their Owner's slippers... tending to your Owner's needs as a human pet is just an extension of that.

MysticsLily -> RE: BDSM pets? (8/31/2008 5:37:36 AM)

Dogs come when their called,
with their owners always enthralled.
with cats, selective deafness is often true,
Cats take a message and get back to you.

I love my cats - both human and feline - I love the way they look up at me, all curled up in the sunshine on the bed with one little eye considering whether a scratch and a nuzzle is worth the effort of a two minute stretch.  It's like kitty foreplay.  But (don't tell my kitties) I have a secret love for dogs (human and canine) who's ears perk, eyes light and heads jerk up at the sound of their Owner's voice and come running hell bent to paw and jump happily because they were called.  And I can't tell you the joy of a fox - its like a two for one deal!

Have a great morning everyone.

Miss Lily
