I think the Americans could have Victoria - as long as they take care of all the old people there ..... also they have to take the entire island as well as all the earthquakes.

As for Vancouver - it really isn't ours to give away - you would have to consult with Beijing on that one.

I move that we offer them Calgary and everything that goes with it .... the Calgary Stampede, the Calgary Stampeders, the Calgary Flames and the Lucernce Plant ....... to sweeten the deal I suggest we also throw in Maple Leaf Foods

Well, the OP wanted Florida. Sure, why not, but you don't get MickeyWorld or the space port.

You can have everything else.

You also get to pay the hundreds of millions of dollars it will take to clean up after Tropical Storm Fay (not to mention, Hanna is on her way). Good luck in trying to find places for all that water. :-)

Oh, and all the alligators, snakes, spiders, rodents, and... wait for it... FIRE ANTS that have been displaced by the floods; you get those too.

Finally, beware of sink holes. They've been opening up quite frequently around here as of late. One day a house will be there, surrounded by floodwaters and the next day all of the waters have disappeared, along with the house. But, they're still there. Just peer over the edge. The house is only about 30 feet down; not too difficult to pull out with the right equipment (which you get to supply and operate).

Florida has old people too. We'll gladly take Victoria's old people population. You get Florida's. I do believe there are many more old people in Florida than Victoria, at no extra charge. Isn't that a bargain.

we get Victoria, Prince Edward Island, and that place with the annual fiddle camp.
you get Texas and Arkansas.
we get mounties.
you get NYPD. (I know you are getting the better bargain here, but the picture of Mounties riding around NY is irresistable.)

hey now wait wait wait,

we already get a bunch of candians around here every winter and we get nothing for it. ok maybe a bit of money but still. i think these specific states that you are wanting to recruit ought to get a bit of a sweeter deal, and how about throwing some extra cash for those of us that have been stubborn enough, oh wait loyal enough, to stick it out in our beloved swamp for several generations??
