Venatrix -> RE: skin writing (8/30/2008 8:58:55 PM)

When I find that someone special, I am looking forward to writing "Mine" on his backside as often as necessary.

marieToo -> RE: skin writing (8/30/2008 9:07:40 PM)

Been written on with black sharpie--it took about 10 days for it to come off my skin.

CalifChick -> RE: skin writing (8/30/2008 9:56:19 PM)

When discussing where I liked sensation and where I didn't, I've offered to outline the good parts with a sharpie.  [:)]

subbysubsubsub -> RE: skin writing (8/30/2008 10:17:30 PM)

My dom would write words like slut, whore, fucktoy, etc on different parts of my body while I was blindfolded.  I loved the sensation of it, and it always made me wonder what he was writing, especially when he wrote for a long time.

Sometimes, he'd get creative and write instructions on my body for later on in the day.  For example, he'd write the word "pinch" next to my nipples or the word "massage" next to my clit.  I was to do them every hour without cumming.

MaamJay -> RE: skin writing (8/30/2008 11:26:32 PM)

I like writing on a sub, and also love to paint words and designs on them with molten wax and an old paintbrush. Flogging it off later is fun too!

A friend I was playing with wrote his name on my bag by dragging a pinwheel....

But the next day it was gone. Was good to feel though, as I was blindfolded.

MysticsLily -> RE: skin writing (8/31/2008 7:25:50 AM)

good morning!

I love marking with words and designs.  I prefer kohl over sharpies - I'm always worried about the type of ink and whether sharpie ink could be toxic - I mean just the smell alone is horrible.  And kohl is very cool to work with.  Body painting is awesome and you can make an entire outfit on a naked slave with body paint and they can look clothed.  On my 30th birthday Mystic gave me a marker and told me I had to get 30 guys to kiss me and then sign me to show they'd done it.  I also had to have someone take a photo of the kiss with our camera.  For every kiss I failed to get I would receive 10 swats with the paddle.  Then she took me to the gay bar we loved to frequent.  (Friday night, my birthday of course being Boys' Night)  LOL What a riot.  I cannot say if the ill feeling I had the next day was from all the marker leeching into my skin or the drinking.  (my 30th was my "drinking" party because I had been pregnant on my 21st) But to this day I think ink in large quantities can't be safe.

Now, both Mystic and I are Vampiric and very into blood. Mystic is in the medical field (she's a phlebotomist so think professional vampire)  and we use medical grade sterile lancets to make surface level designs (scratching and pricking enough to draw up fine scratches and blood marks about the depth of a cat scratch)  I saw a design once at a dungeon party where the Master did angel wings in bloody scratches on his girl's back and was absolutely amazed at the fine details.  Clean up involves a little alcohol (and the stinging from the alcohol I've been told by my victims and know from personal experience  can be torture or delight depending on the victim's pain tolerance)  Scratches linger for a few days up to a week while the tiny punctures disapate in days.  (Standard necessary warning: Please children, don't try this at home if you don't know how to do needle play. Its something that needs to be learned from someone who knows what they are doing, and done with sterile equipment.  Also, never do blood play with someone who's blood tests you have not seen and wear gloves anyway.)

My personal favorite writing on a play toy of mine was at a private dungeon party.  I used kohl to do some intricate designs (and a bit of scratches to bring out a red color among the darker black-brown of the kohl) and wrote detailed instructions on how he was permitted to be used at the party on his back.  (All personal friends, trusted players)  The writing said - my safe word is red. my backside looks good pink. and I make an excellent table for your drinks.  He had his first canning that night and loved it.

I apologize if I squicked anyone out.

CallaFirestormBW -> RE: skin writing (8/31/2008 7:39:08 AM)

My (grown) daughter started out in her body-mod explorations this way. Every single day, she draws a stylized butterfly (the logo for Elegant Psychosis, her design company) suspended below her right eye. She draws it and paints it every single morning, within half an hour of waking up for work -- she says that it reminds her of her goal to color the face of self-awareness and beauty in coming years. She draws imagery and poetry all over herself, and has for as long as I can remember. (It's one of the reasons her father sent her to live with us for her last 2 years of high-school, since he couldn't stop her from drawing/writing all over herself and her friends).

She's also drawn some amazing hand-crafted art on me, including an absolutely -gorgeous- koi for my birthday last year (while I was in the hospital).

I consider this 'fetish', but not necessarily 'kinky'.

Calla

I love reading when you write.  Just wanted to tell you that - always look for you.

I think its phenominal that you have supported your daughter's need for self-expression.

My goth nature and my body art displays started in high school in the early 90s when goth first hit the US from the UK.  I was attending an all girls catholic high school (ok you dirty boys - calm down LOL) and you can imagine the horror from the nuns when I would go into the bathroom at the end of the day in my uniform and come out with my black clothing and black makeup.  I find it interesting that your daughter started with a butterfly.  what awesome symbolism.  I started with simple egyptian "eye of ra" designs around my own eyes and intricate "vampire bite marks" on my neck.  By college I had a friend who did kohl designs and I was her living canvas (she became an amazing tatoo artist) I wore my long black victorian goth skirts and sleeveless corsets/bodices so I could be seen with my arms and shoulders all kohled up - she did fantastical dragons and flower gardens and some amazing things that felt right to me.

I would LOVE to find someone with that kind of gift again.  If it is ok with the OP I'd like to extend the question about skin writing:

Does the writing have to be simple humilitation for you like "slut" "My Whore" and "plug hole here" or ownership words like "Mine or property of"?  Or as a slave/submissive would you enjoy that sort of living canvas of design and art rather than humilitory words?  Would it be too weird to see a Dominant with skin writing of this sort - a submissive with a gift of art decorating his/her owner with their talent?  For you Dominant folk - do you think you would get the same satisfaction from the living art work of design -whether its actualy pictures or just swirling doodles - that you would from the written word?

And lastly - what about washable crayola markers?  Would the knowledge that the ink is washable lower the impact of the skin writing for you?

Miss Lily

Thanks, Lily..

I get a lot of satisfaction from creating living art -- in fact, we talk with the boys we interview about their willingness to be living canvases. I work in temporary piercing, branding, and cutting, as well as marker work, and I love the whole aspect of the living canvas.

Washable markers are a great find. Even permanent markers are temporary on the skin, though (just check that the ones you're using are non-toxic as well)... sweat, goat's milk soap, and a loofah will take them right off. The only problem we've ever had was with latex paint -- my daughter didn't realize that people with a latex allergy will react to latex paint, even in small amounts, and she occasionally uses diluted latex to fill in large drawings, which set off a friend of hers. Not a lesson she will soon forget! (Oh... and many enamel paints and oil paints are toxic!!! Check a list carefully for toxic ingredients.)

If you want to try out body painting, body art, ect, go out and pick up some "mehron' paints. They are wonderful for staying power, and aren't nearly as expensive as some of the other stuff. Ben Nye also makes some great stuff for base color.

totalditz -> RE: skin writing (8/31/2008 10:01:23 AM)

I love skin writing as well, and agree with so many of these ideas....labels and instructions.  Someone mentioned having their skin signed by anyone who they got to guess them, which is a delicious idea.  I always love being written on especially in a place where I cannot see (my face, back of neck, back) but others can.

Along the same lines, one can buy foam letters in any craft store.  Being tied or told to lay out in the summer sun and having those letters applied somewhere leads to some sort of message being "tanned" into your skin for the next month or so....

There's a film called "The Pillow Book" you might enjoy.   http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114134/

I've played Hangman on a bottom's butt in washable marker, as well as numerous games of Tic Tac Toe on her back.  For the Tic Tac Toe, we've used fire cups as the Xs and Os

Miss Lily
If you've been written on with crayola/washable markers, and you get in late and flop straight into bed, be prepared to wake up to inky sheets.

Also, they are not as washable as you might hope, and even some strong soapy scrubbing can still leave traces.

But, mmmmmmmmmm yummy writing all over me.  It's a substitute for the tattoos I can't have.
