Well, even with drawdowns, the troop levels have to be there to rotate.  It is getting increasingly hard to get folks to join, so more recruiting monies are spent, then no matter what, the tanks gotta be polished, the blowed up helmets gotta be replaced, the sand has to be cleaned outta the helicopters, it costs alot more to fly them back and forth with the gas and whatnot, who is to say?  Might be a horse apiece. 
They are looking at a hell of a hospital bill at some point because this cannot go on as is. WW2 is about done, Korea is past the high point I should think, Vietnammers are old geezers and coming into their problems, lotta desert storm, desert shield and of course now mother of all wars folks coming back.....

And nobody here has said they dont believe in afghanistan, whether or not we agree with the way it is run..............

I dunno what the number is, it is significant. Put that number in our economy....

OUT OF CONTROL SPENDING AND 2 WARS are responsible for the huge budget problems. Your position is unsubstantiated by the facts, and you are living in an ideological fantasy land. Just remember, there's the world you want to live in (cutting taxes cures a budget deficit) and the actual world we live in (cutting taxes has never cut the federal budget deficit.)
