A separate survey released this morning also found that 50% of voters believe most reporters want to make the economy seem worse than it is. A plurality believes that the media has also tried to make the war in Iraq appear worse that it really is....

That "joke" is not funny.  A LOT of women have been raped. I'm not sure of the exact percentage, but its high.

And if you want a reason why - 24 hour "news" channels.  they can spend hours on the most minute trivia, and 10 seconds on things that actually have to do with real people.   and does anyone really care about brad and angelas kids - other than they are healthy?
