So tell her your not interested in a long term relationship....i don't see this being any different from breaking up with a vanilla girlfriend, just be honest and tell her how you feel.

If you made a friend in her ...and many of do .... respect her and tell her you simply dont see a future in a longterm commitment. Tell her you dont want to waste her time in trying to stay exclusive to someone who isin't going to be there for her. Thats if your straight with her. Remember , you are doing her a favor by getting out quickly. She can get on with her life. And if you have made a friend out , then maybe you can still be friends afterwards... That will be up to her

Hell people not in the life talk, my bf and I while both kinky was not DS or in the comunity scene and when he treated me like shit the entire 5 months before our breakup I had no qualms about letting any one know if they asked what a jerk he was and a liar, and lazy with no money and how he was less than honorable in the waywe ended.

What on earth did you get into a relationship with someone you didn't want to have one with.

I hope you don't hurt her too badly by your grand deception.

I think for once you should be honest with her and tell her what a jerk you've been by using her for your own purposes while she was falling for you.

Commers? What the hell are commers? You mean, commas?

The trend in English is for the comma to be used less and less. It used to be taught that you should use a comma everytime you would take a breath if you were reading the passage. Now, it's just for defining a list, for effect, and for a separate differnent parts of a sentence.

It's a darn, darn shame. Whether young or old, a comma can come in handy. I have used them in sentences, when I'm speaking, or just for the heck of it.

One thought is that the hurried nature of the times is reflected in a more punchy style of writing, e.g. with fewer commas. The writer who is more reflective, though, may be more inclined to use the comma.

I'm a real, real traditionalist.

As to the main topic of this thread, I like the 'lets be friends' line. Heck, women have used it on men for a millenium (or longer).

yes, yes, and yes. honesty, dignity, directness, and in person if at all possible.

as to the drama thing, that just perpetuates the myth that someone will scream, die, or some other catastrophic event will occur if you tell them the relationship is over. that just serves to keep honesty out of the relationship and/or the ending of it. trust me, we don't die when a relationship ends, and we don't hunt you down with an axe, either. be honest. with yourself and the other person.
