Daddyssweetpea -> stillness (9/1/2008 3:06:21 PM)

one thing that absolutely sends me to the outer reaches of the stratosphere is the challenge of having to be still.  I adore being bound up, but there is something about having to keep from moving while not being restrained by tethers. i am a wriggler, and Daddy knows it, so he understands how hard it is for me to keep from moving when he is spanking or teasing me. He also knows how i dearly love a challenge. i especially love to be Daddy's footrest, and having to be very, very still while he sits with his feet on my back and neck *sigh*.

why this excites me so, i do not know.  any thoughts on the subject?

I like being still.  It lets me check out all the details of my body, the colours, textures, feelings, really get in tune with myself.  This took a while to do, in the beginning I used to have lots of panic attacks and going to classes to learn was an horrific experience, but now, I'm so glad I stuck with it.

I love being still, calming my inside, and then feeling hands touch me.

I'm frequently very still (and noises are at a minimum too) when being flogged... and I love that too.  I can go very deep within myself, like meditating, and it's the nicest form of floating, to me.

Ahh Zen and the Art of Self Restraint.
Wonderful.
Like silence: a form of self-discipline.
I love being prostrate and still. for me that allows me to connect with my Master totally. I feel totally safe when i am prostrate and still and need this first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
It's noy always possible to be in His presence but it is an agreement that we have that i will prostrate myself before and after sleep.
I have been meditating on and off for over forty years. My meditational practice has changed and gone through many transformations during that time. paradoxically it's not a linear transformation...no one way of doing meditation has been or probably will be better than any other...jusy different. but the skill of sitting has enabled me to appreciate the stilness of prostration. i am instructed to meditate on the meaning of who i am whilst at His feet. At that monet in time there is no-one else at His feet so i am honoured.
i understand at this time that to remain still as the lowest is the one way in which i am elevated as an object of desire.
whew...

self  discipline ? inner peace ? meditative like calming ?pleasing your Master ? the reasons you dig it  are interpersonal and can be best answered by you for you .Although i think you answered your own question in your post  at least partly , the challenge .. and to please  be it a foot rest or  just honor him . Personally i cheat  and love mummification . I try to  be still and meditate  but distractions  seem to  get to me  yet i continue to  strive for that stillness .

dissension in this quarter - my Sir stood me facing the wall for a punishment - and told me not to move.  I was in agony (well, maybe not agony, but i wasn't comfortable) - i discovered itches, my legs really hurt - i wanted to shift my weight and couldn't, my hands swelled because they were at my side, and i couldn't move any muscles, and my head was cocked at a funny angle because i was literally doing what my Sir said - standing still. It wasn't a comfortable or meditative state.   Hopefully it won't happen again.

i don't think i would like to have to be still as a form of punishment. for me, stillness is joyful.  i do find that it has the meditative qualities others have made reference to.  when i am still, i am fully tuned into all the sensations i am experiencing.  When I am still, everything else drops away, and there is only perfect obedience.

kallisto -> RE: stillness (9/1/2008 7:13:43 PM)

Having to be still for any length of time (long periods of time)  unrestrained would be complete torture for me.   I can do it for a little bit, but not for long.   Now being restrained either by rope, chain, cuffs, arms, etc., I can do it as long as is required.

DesFIP -> RE: stillness (9/1/2008 7:32:05 PM)

He was amusing himself by slapping my thighs and pussy the other night. I was unrestrained. I can tolerate much less unbound than bound because instead of being able to react freely, I had to stay in a normal state of awareness with my focus being on the position of my legs. I can take more when I don't have to monitor myself every second.

Besides, rope by itself puts me in a high state of arousal and I can tolerate more pain when aroused, then when not.

One of the reasons I love being a lazyboy, pillow, footrest, or what have you for my owner is because I find that in the quiet and regulating my breathing as I relax into holding whatever position for him its almost a meditative zen-like state. I find it very relaxing and also bonding in a very different sort of way.
