Well, at least the GOP got some of it's monies worth, having the cops in full riot gear standing by. It looked kinda bad for them on Monday night: black stormtroopers just standing there, at attention, cannisters of tear gas at the ready, and billy clubs and transparent sheild held at attention.... and the only person in the shot with them was a little old blue haired lady, who seemed to be looking for tha ladies room....

Made the GOP look like the fascists they really are.

Except for the fact that most everybody here has seen the news footage of the Leftist thugs breaking windows and wrecking and trashing downtown St. Paul, that would have been a nice try.

So now you are claiming that the police of Minnesota are stormtroopers. Very nice. Folks should be proud to have you supporting their issues and on their side of the debate. Again, Bravo.

So tell me, why warrants for cardboard, twine and lumber? Why send in cops without badges and with guns drawn to serve no knock warrants against a bunch of lawyers? Who thought trampling a bunch of civil rights lawyers civil rights was a good idea? Will the RNC bail out St. Paul? Or are they going to leave them holding the bag like they did in NYC?

I'm talking their image here, guys. I have no doubt there were some tinfoil hat types making trouble... but on Monday night, when things were slow and at a low ebb due to the hurricane, the cameras focused on the rows of cops in full riot gear, and it looked like the RNC was being run by a police state. (which, I suppose, it really is.)
