So  I was reading today about the Vetting Process, including the 70 questions which included things like credit score, have you ever paid for sex, extramarital affairs, Illegitimate children, rape charges, etc....

This is my thought.  Looking at the possible VPs, I think someone said... okay, it's the DUI-hubby and unwed teenager or the guy who has a four hooker a week habit...

In other words, I think Palin wasn't just picked because she has a vagina... I think the other boys and girls didn't get through the vetting process...

What do YOU think?  Does Lieberman have a honey on the side?  (Ew!)  Are there pictures of Romney in full drag with an eggplant up his ass?  Is Miss Sarah's animosity towards polar bears considered a better choice than a Gambling Addiction or a poor credit rating?

I think all the prominent choices had major public red flags that pretty much guaranteed they wouldn't be pisked.

Lieberman and Guiliani are pro choice. Rudy also has the divorce and rumors of more than recreational cross dressing.

Romney is a Mormon. While nominating him might have helped with Michigan it likely would have thoroughly turned off the religious right, most conservative protestants do not view Mormons as christian. Likely their polling indicated it put too many southern states in play,

Tim Pawlenty got a lot of talk about being a maverisk pick. He very well may have simply been beaten out by the perceived more maverick choice.

I doubt Huckabee or any of the other also rans got much consideration. Maybe Thompson but I really doubt it.
