OK this is stupid, but it's not like I am setting a record or anything.

Never, under any circumstances clean a cieling fan with an uncovered piano in the room. Ugh.

Kinda like if you have a bigscreen TV, do not throw cellphones around, something like that. I just thought I would add to the body of knoweldge embodied on this body of.........Holy shit, forget it, I am going to bed.

lmao, Termy!! I also discovered that it's a bad idea to change ceiling fan direction when there's someone sitting beneath it, if you havent cleaned it in a while...LOL (poor guy)

i learned this one ... again ... the other day ...

filling laundry tub to soak stuff
phone rings ... leaves tap running ... searches for answers for caller, rings back ... finalises call , hangs up ... time lapsed ... 5 minutes.
returns to laundry ...

2 hours to clean it up ... just missed the carpet ...

You don't know the half of it. It is humid in these parts and the dust sticks, I really wish I could clean it by just reversing it, but it doesn't work.

THEN, when you wipe one blade off, you know it's out of balance with the other four. Of course then you have to do all of them.

And to think, I am going to have to do this every thirteen years whether needed or not !

Now the dust is on my beer as well, great !. I am not buying anything anymore, well except a few things.

Must us wimmins 'splain everything to youz men?

Get a can of spray glue. Spray the ceiling fan blades with afore mentioned glue. That dust isn't going anywhere.

holly I think you're onto something here. Could youse wimmens maybe get together and write us a book ala Heloise's Helpful Hints ?

I am already hip to the simple stuff, like using empty beer cans for ashtrays, flipping over couch cushions when they get dirty (note that when you do that you wait until that side is dirtier before you flip them again), and those "fast" ways to clean the fridge. (some may not appreciate the in depth description of that process, so I will omit it here)

Not a bad idea eh ?

Another use for duct tape...

I use it on the couch cushions to get rid of cat hair.

Works ...but doesnt get rid of the cats for some reason.

I live in Kentucky and am no strnager to humidity. In fact I have mold growing on boots in my closet as I type.
