Who would have thought not having your birth certificate this far in the game wouldn't be a problem? Finding Obama's Birth Certificate now is like doing another search for WMDs. http://hubpages.com/hub/OBAMAS-CITIZENSHIP-IN-QUESTION Maby the Govenator of California can use Obama's citizenship issue to cause a loop hole for him to run one day.

Oh and an observation, if you look lower center, you can see what appears to be blue ink bleeding through... there is what looks to be a date of Jun 2007. Would not the certificate number be a way to crossreference this and put an end to the damn crazies and their theories? Just sayin.

The stamp that appears to be 2007 may indicate when the document was requested. The covering of the certificate number may be a privacy issue.

Just one more quickie question... As I don't mind feeding the trolls every now and then. If these questions had been raised, and the campaign rushed to clear this up as quick as possible, as they state in the article just linked to. Why is it that they waited until after the Senator's vacation back to Hawaii to put the certificate in a position to be photographed and handled by an organization that has employed the Senator? Could this have not been done in say June, July, or even the first week of August? Doin my part to feed the tinfoil hat wearing crowd, Thadius Edited to add: especially since they must have received it back in 2007 for filing purposes. Just sayin

Do they really believe a person could reach Obama's level with a fake birth certificate? It's the one document that originates all identity papers - not least, a passport. It's so low [>:] .

Good evening Thadius, I do not know the answer to that question. But I can tell you that retrieving official documents can be a time consuming and difficult process. (And I am not sure how much the differences exist state to state in retrieving birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, etc.) Hey, if it is a bureacracy is it not supposed to be easy for the citizens, right? [8D] We were recently trying to obtain copies of my step-father's discharge papers circa WW2 from the VA archies in St. Louis. But the building where those records were kept had a fire. I have had the uhm "pleasure" of dealing with those wonderful folks in St Louis... they are definitely not a model of expediancy. However, even as the linked article states, the certificate would have had to been printed on or before Jun 6th of last year, no? Otherwise, how did it get stamped and "signed as a certified copy". Therefore, one would assume that the document was in the hands of Obama by at least Jan of this year, no? I think there are laws about dating a certified document nunc pro tunc... I could be wrong.

Yes, you are just saying, we know, but why are you still speculating? The proof of Obama's citizenship is pretty overwhelming; he has a US passport. In that case, feel free to question everybody's citizenship and the passport validity of all those who obtained a U.S. passport before the new immigration laws came into effect. You might as well do a nationwide census.
