I, for one, wouldn't want to live without it in my life. Life moves me, whether it's a beautiful song, a heart felt poem or the sweetest of women. I can get caught up in things and become driven to act on or profess my love of someone or something, in regards as to my feelings on a certain thing.

My questions are again, simple ones..

What moves you in this world. What drives you to declare yourself to another or about something.

What passionate thing have you done lately(and ask yourself when was the last time you felt a fire inside you..share if you like)

I want to know your personal beliefs on passion in general.

I am a passionate man. I deliver passion in almost everything I do. I am passionate about my children, my work and my recreational activities. Passion is fantastic as long as emotion does not overwhelm the senses. I often see people that say they are passionate making huge emotionally driven mistakes. It is almost without exception that passionate decisions are fully intertwined with emotion. It is difficult for some passionate people to temper the emotions involved when making decisions. It can be done. This is probably the most difficult and one of the most valuable lessons I have learned in my life.

Passion within relationships... It comes and it goes to some extent in long-term relationships. Sometimes people panic when passion is not as abundant in a relationship as it once was. Sometimes it leads to detrimental decisions that are not forgivable. An example of how unrestrained passionate thinking can lead to bad decisions.

I am not interested in starting something with someone that is not passionate also. Dispassionate people often do not understand how passionate people can "invest" so much into them and then one day decide it is not for them for whatever reason. This often leads to them being frustrated, hurt and angry. Passionate people don't always understand why dispassionate people are not passionate.

Passion is awesome when shared with someone able to reciprocate.

The key for me is balance. Not that i always achieve it but i do strive for it. I've had moments i wish i could take back when passion was pushing me and i became tangled.

Side Note:
Even Men as Masters loose it from time to time. I've heard females state "I want a Man first then a Master"..That's what you'll get with me..With all my glorious faults included

It has cost me something dear on occasion. So yes, temper it.

Good grief I am passionate about almost everything in my life! (except this godforsaken job)

Wonderful dark chocolate.
A bottle of good port.
Hiking, especially in the fall.
Photography and well, all types of art.
Music
Movies
Books, omg I love books.
My furry babies, I adore my furry babies.
Riding. If you've never gotten up early on a cool foggy morning and saddled a dancing arabian that is just begging to run, you haven't fully lived. Or taken a starlit midnight ride in the middle of summer down an old gravel road.
Watching my kids with their kids.
Picking fresh red raspberries.
Laughing so hard your face and stomach hurt but you still cannot stop.
Being surrounded by people I love, the noise and laughter. The energy of that.
Looking at old photos, of people loved and now gone from your life with smiles and tears. Remembering.
The thrill of a new romance/lust. Finding out your most evil wicked ways gel.
The feeling I get when I realize that a girl really does want to belong to me. That "Here I am do with me what you will." submission.

And a bazillion other things that I could write a dozen books about.

Passion occurs for me on many levels and in many circumstances.

Most obviously I have my deep, satisfying, red-hot, oh-fucking-yes-yes-YES! passion for the.dark. which drives our relationship and makes everything else worthwhile.

But I also feel passion for music. The last time was when we went to see Iron Maiden on their Somewhere Back In Time tour. Based on their 1985 World Slavery Tour, the live recording of which, Live After Death, caused me to pick up a guitar all those years ago, when the intro tape, Churchill's famous "We shall fight them on the beaches" speech, began to rumble from the speakers I felt such a rush of passion, to finally after twenty plus years of foreplay experience live the cause of my whole rock music passion that has defined.

To share this moment of passion not only with the.dark. but also with one of my closest friends who had come with us, and with who I had attended our first Maiden concert some 22 years previously, was a real, well, pleasure.

That's a great example. I like hearing things like that.

Mine would be my work. It may not sound like much but i get to sit behind a computer and design things all day. To be able to use the creative part of my brain so much makes it a wonderful job for me. I make things for other business's which in turn make them money hopefully, so they are always happy to see me.(except when the bill comes)

The second one is this lifestyle. Much for the same reasons plus the chance to bond with someone on the most intimate of levels.

There's one more at the top of the list but it's private :>

(edited to add) Being able to express my feelings..of which i have little trouble doing(almost non existent) I'm a firm believer that one should speak their minds( of course humbleness and manners are best when a slave does).. I don't always do it in a way that others find good but i still do it.

Thanks for your posts so far.

Thank you. I love shooting in black and white, and think that you can really capture the true essense of a person in monochrome.

Oh my passions....I have so many

Photography for one....but mostly art in general, I adore creating things.
Dance and music are especially passionate for me.
Spoken word almost anything, I LOVE debate, and inspired speeches of almost any kind
Visually beautifull ...anything. That can be subversive beauty or more "normal" beauty...it just depends.

Passion isn't a place you can be in constantly. It's too tiring. Although there are some intense moments, or hours, or whatever, I also value the comfortable just as much. An hour in Barnes & Noble, new books to choose, a chai latte to sip - not passionate but pleasurable to the core.

This is true..No such thing as full time passion. You don't have to run through Barnes and Noble screaming" Viva la Books..Hand me a freaking latte..I LOVE THIS PLACE" to feel passion about them. Nor do you have to sleep, eat and crap them either. There are passions that are expressed in subtle ways.

I agree.  Personally, I tend to believe that when passon becomes all consuming and constant, it's then turned into an obsession.  I find passion logical and reasonable.

This is true yet obsession has it's place to a degree. They are sometimes intertwined. I suppose, when it gets out of hand and you or others suffer, that would be a problem of course.

There's a saying about the obsessions of two lovers but i can't for the life of me remember who said it or exactly what was said lol. It says, basically that love between two lovers is obsession and only turns to bad obsession when the two no longer see as one. ahhhh something like that.

I'll find it one of these days. Again...

Yes I do see how it has it'splace.  Without obsession, I do not believe relationships can thrive, but as you suggest - there is healthy and there is not.
