i'm new to the scene and had my first "session" (-is this the right word?) with my master today. I don't feel he was very harsh on me but i did enjoy being his slave for a few hours. I walked away feel relaxed for the first time in weeks.

I was wondering if other subs/slaves always walk away feeling like this or is it more likely i will suffer from 'sub-drop' after other encounters?

Status: offline 		97% of the time, i walk away high as a kite and stay that way for quite a while...the sub drop doesn't usually hit me till the next day or so.....

of course you get, that unmistakable ;relaxed ;got it ,together; really made feeling ,after a session.
unbeleivable!
but, i think, that's why banks ,only loan, to relaxed;happy people, in stable relationships vs someone alone, or single which may imply some unstableness, or loan risk acording, to the book

(great book)
each case tells what's deviant, or what's ,not ,and, is, in ,only 2 pages, in every possible persons' culture,
from ,just being a loan-applicant,
at a bank,
to a prostitute.
i think all couples: vanilla ,or, not

but ,i feel special -all beat ,up,

Status: offline 		i kind of alternate from high as a kite and contented like a cat with a bowl full of cream -- either a wonderful place to be. A day or so later sub drop will hit, and since i'm alone when that happens, i sometimes struggle with it. i write in my journal, go for a brisk walk, or scrub a kitchen floor..anything to work the drop off physically as well as mentally.

Was he crazy, how'd he let you walk away? I would have shackled you to my leg and you'd never get away.

Just keep a watch on yourself and your mood. Take care of yourself and do some reconnecting with the top tomorrow.

Over tiem you will learn your own reactins and patterns. It's the only way.

Status: offline 		thanks for you responces everyone. I've been reading a lot about sud-drop lately and am expecting it to happen to me at any moment, i hope it wont of course but your advice has really helped me to feel confident about it and not to let it worry me.

My guess is that he was just taking it easy on you the first time, and frankly, I think that's a good trait for a Dominant to have.

Status: offline 		Wow..your first session. I can still remember mine, and I walked away feeling like I was on cloud 9, and it turned out to be better than I thought it would. I only have 5 more sessions over the years, and MADAM doesn't have the time anymore, so I think back at my Sessions, and feel alive again.

Congrats and good luck with your other sessions to come, and I hope they are MANY, BalletBob

Status: offline 		Hi Luna :o) You can read about sub-drop till the cows come home but it doesnt prepare you for it, everyone can pass on their advice or experiences with sub-drop but till you hit it you can only guess.

Ive teetered on the edge of subspace a few times over the last couple of months but a fortnight ago i plummeted over the edge and its gotta be said it was the most fantastic experience Ive had to date, Master was amazing and it was wax play that did it (FAB!) but and it is a big BUT sub-drop for me was the worst (Master had said the first time can be bad) and boy was it, I went from a couple of days of elation to a day or two of non-descript feelings to rock bottom where I was either in a raging temper or sobbin my heart out, didnt know what to do with myself, cleaning the house like something demented to sat moping and smoking like a trooper (good job I'll be stopping soon) been leary to Master to clinging and full of self doubt, Awful!

All that said, would I do it all again? OH YES lol did this weekend but didnt go as deep this time so Im hoping my 'drop' wont be as severe (everything crossed even my eyes lol)

All i would suggest is get lots of all those comfort foods you like in the house, slob about if you want, charge about at a 100mph if you want, basically do what makes you comfy during your 'drop' and try not to be leary to your Master lol only earns you more stripes with the cane! Yummy!!

I'm so glad your first experience was a good one. I just get so addicted to that "rush," that I don't want to stop. Thankfully, Captain knows when to call it done. And he always brings me chocolate or chocolate pudding. That really helps me keep the sub-drop at bay. Plus, I love when He feeds me those yummy treats. And then I'm so happy and amped up, that I can whip out all my boring chores in nothing flat. It's a win-win situation. Hope it works for you, too. Have fun!

Its great that you walked away feeling relaxed and good about everything, it sounds like a good start to a relationship.
Agree with the advice just to watch your feelings over the next couple of days.

Status: offline 		Everyone has been so helpful and nice to me I'm almost on clould nine at the moment. I saw Master today again but he wasn't feeling well I hope i made him feel better, at least i know he was tired to enough to fall asleep in the middle of the day I hope he woke up feeling better.

I hit space once and I didn't get after care because it was at a play party and once done she huged me and I went back to my mate. Well he wanted me to play with him since he was bored, I really just wanted to cuddle and day dream a bit but I Waned him to have fun too so I was wobbling all over the place almost fell over standing still:)) We finally found a place where I could be against a wall to steady myself while I played with him

hi luna ....i have been with Master for a year now and i always walk away feeling relaxed and wonderful, for me ity is never a "sub drop" .....good wishes to you..

Congratulations Luna.

As others have said, it all depends and can vary from person to person and scene to scene.

For me, after most play, I walk away with a sense of empowerment, like I can take on the world. And although I come down from the high, I rarely crash afterwards; it is more that I am returning to a normal state.

However, I say that as I am sitting here struggling with not letting myself crash. My Lord and I had an intensely emotional scene for both of us this past weekend. He cut his mark into my thigh, and 3 days later I am trying not to let myself come down too far.

All you can do is watch yourself and take care of you. As you get more experience you will have a better idea how you will handle play, before, during and afterwards.
