John McCain has a drooping left eyelid, which is a 100% indicator of neurological damage. He has done a great job in hiding his brain damage from Washington reporters. That's why he has severely limited access to his medical records, he doesn't want the fact he has brain damage to cost him his shot at the presidency. But rest assured, it is a fact McCain has significant brain damage, and he is not medically fit to be president.

RealityLicks -> RE: McCain's neurological damage (9/7/2008 10:11:19 AM)

Is he a sort of Manchurian Candidate?  Or is Darth Palin working him through the powers of the Dark Side?

Lockit -> RE: McCain's neurological damage (9/7/2008 10:15:09 AM)

LOL... do you have any proof of this?  I am no supporter here... so not being defensive on his behalf, but that is a pretty serious accusation.  Many people have one side of the face slightly different, a wider eye on one side, a lower hanging breast, a bigger hand on one side ect.  I wouldn't diagnose brain damage by a drooping lid on an eye and if you can... damn... I should have paid you for my son and my own testing... I am sure it would have been cheaper.  I'd like some proof here and not an assumption.

TheHeretic -> RE: McCain's neurological damage (9/7/2008 10:15:42 AM)

       Right.  And the fact that his arms don't raise in complete symmetry means he's having a stroke, every minute of every day...

      No possibility his supposed eyelid droop might be related to having the shit repeatedly kicked out of him by as many as 10 guys at a time over a 5 year stretch?  Not even a little bit?

Ptosis is not a 100% indicator of neurological damage.  Your facts are in error.

What about Ptosis ? Bells Palsy can cause this, and thats due to nerve damage as against brain damage.

Raechard -> RE: McCain's neurological damage (9/7/2008 10:48:46 AM)

This is why I don't get the bus during the day because of all these elderly people talking about these nasty medical conditions and it's really depressing. I don't want to hear about the joys of a new hip I'd rather believe my own hips will last into old age. This is why I'm sitting down a lot to stop wear and tear.

Why does it have to be either/or? [8D]

Paris Hilton has a droopy eyelid as well...

It has to do with the two muscles (levator and muller's) that control the eyelid. It can be caused by damage to the nerve that controls the muscle, trauma to the muscle, or weakness in the muscle. The condition usually gets worse as one gets tired. It can be an indication of a tumor but this is in very rare cases.

It is not an indication of brain damage.

I always just assumed she was stoned.

"But rest assured, it is a fact McCain has significant brain damage, and he is not medically fit to be president."

Such a judgmental statement. Then Roosevelt wasn't fit to be president...Nor Kennedy...Having a disability does not mean his judgment is impaired, it means his body is impaired. As a person who deals with this bias every day, especially here on collarme, I can assure you that just because my body does not work as 'normally' as yours does not make me less able to make important decisions. If you don't care for his policies or his philosophy, don't vote for him, but don't base it on something that doesn't matter!

and for the OP's information - having brain damage doesn't automatically mean that your judgement and intellect is damaged or ruined.   silly bunny needs to check what sort of lettace he is eating before making blanket statements!

Thadius -> RE: McCain's neurological damage (9/7/2008 12:29:26 PM)

I wonder if we could use this sort of thinking to define Joe Biden.... afterall, isn't he the one that has had brain surgery?

Raechard -> RE: McCain's neurological damage (9/7/2008 12:32:01 PM)

No Joe Biden had a special chip implanted that makes him superhuman and capable of 15,000,000 calculations per second.[8|]

Thadius -> RE: McCain's neurological damage (9/7/2008 12:33:14 PM)

Tanks for the clarification...  Super Joe to the uhm... something.

NumberSix -> RE: McCain's neurological damage (9/7/2008 12:38:59 PM)

Doesn't the drooping left eyelid indicate homophobia?

I believe that McCain avoided the MSP airport bathrooms, altogether. (others, not so much).
