As you may know the fed has outright banned meathouses from  testing its meat for mad cow.

The only test kit is available to labs only.   Whats more it is explicitly ILLEGAL  for  meathouses  to conduct or have such test done.

[another example of how the fed "protects" us]

So now enter this test.  It could  render numerous others to be engaged in an illegal  act.   gag me.

"Test kit"?? Is this how the public views laboratories? That all tests are done using a "kit"?

Edited to add: Although, on one of the many benefits of such a test, it would prove that the USA has BSE in its cattle too.

How much more proof do you need ?  Time to alter or abolish it folks, has been for years.

I will say this; bovine spongiform encephalitis can't be treated, vaccinated against or anything because it is an abnormal protein. Even burning the beef to a crisp would not get rid of it. We are vulnerable. Currently there is no technology that will solve that problem.

But that is not my problem, if you take in a deeper look, the premise of the ruling was that it would seemingly give a smaller business an edge against a bigger business. That is the precise reason.

You are smelling a rat, even through the gas mask. Take the gas mask off and see how really bad it is. If I had the opportunity I would string them all up and shoot them. It's not that they don't work for us, they are not even neutral, they actually work against us.

That is treason, and I seem to remember someone in China taking a bribe and allowing some bad food to be sold. Some got sick and died. He was executed. We need laws like that.

Re: the New York Times article.

Unbelievable. So what if larger companies would be "forced" to conducting the testing if this one small meatpacker does it? All I can say is that American meat eaters (and I'm neither) should express their outrage to their local politicos. This should have more media attention.

Edited to correct spelling error. 'Cause I'm anal that way. :D

I agree. It wasnt mentioned on TV to my knowledge.

This makes EU credible on being suspicious of food supply.

The way things are going the states will set up their own system.   But then states rights doesnt mean anything these days.

So how does the average person navigate the world.

For what this is, we could all trap and eat alley rats and and that would be safer.
