Unless you've been living in a cave, you've seen about 1,000 commercials for the various medicines available now to treat ED.  Some for anyone.  Some for Men with Diabetes, or High Blood Pressure.  The pharmacutecical industry has been pursuing the 'phenom' of ED with more vigor than a cure for AIDS.

So can someone please explain to me what the f**k is 'unDomly' about getting ED treated?  Why do I have to hear 'I cannot wear a condom, cuz when I try to put one on, it makes my dick limp?'

Sorry...not really in the mood to massage a bunch of egos...really just looking for some insight.  I wouldn't expect to hear this from a vanilla guy...so why am I hearing it from Doms?

If I woke up some morning withmy pussy sewn shut, I'd run to the ER and keep going till someone 'fixed' me.  WTF is up with male Doms just accepting they will never have intercourse again?

Dunno what to say to that.

well now i'm really confused.  isn't that what the ed medicine is for?  so that men can have intercourse after they find themselves with certain problems? (the medicine works too, at least it has for some of the men i've had interactions with.)   why should men have to accept something if they want to fix it?   i don't think it's dominant specific, i think it is male specific.

Well ... I'm not sure how many Doms you're hearing it from, or what precedes their (non)sexual admissions. Perhaps one of those fellows would be a better person to clear up the mystery.

kiwisub12 -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 1:30:00 PM)

* puts on professional hat*     No-one with ED gets a limp penis from putting on a condom. Now, a coneiving male might say that so you won't make them use a condom, but condoms aren't a cause of ED.

and yes, there are many meds that can give a male with ED an erection, but there are people with ED that can't use those medicines. For those men, there are penile implants, or no intercourse. Of course, in the bdsm community, they have a sexual outlet other than intercourse - since for most people bdsm is very sexual.

*takes off professional hat*   You need to give the man that says that condomes gives him ED an list of the signs and symptoms of ED, and point out that condoms aren't on that list.

cankles -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 1:37:57 PM)

I'm young, but I have boner problems as a side-effect of my adderall. I don't really care though, I can still get off, I just perform a lot more oral now to compensate. There's a lot of other stuff in life to worry about.

Briena -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 1:40:51 PM)

HAHA Ive heard kids in high school say that putting a condom on makes it limp!  That is NOT a grown man with ED excuse, its an every mans excuse so he doesnt have to wear a rubber!

Maybe the men you are reffering to in this post dont go to the doctors to get it checked out because of their egos.  I mean a man not being able to sexually perform is one thing, having to admit it to a nurse and a doctor, then get an exam to see if you still got that lift in your step, THEN go to the pharmacy and pick up the pills, having the pharmacist talk to you about how you use them, like you do, then having to go home and pop a pill just to get it up to play is kinda humiliating.  Having your twat sewn shut is not the same as not being able to perform and haivng to admit to half the world that you lost your man hood.  Its humiliating and it I am sure it makes a man feel less like a man.  Especially when they are younger.  In their late 30s-40s.  I know a man that the pills didnt work on.  He used to have to fuck his wife with a dildo and talk dirty like he was still having sex with her.  That has to be embarassing and uncomfortable.  Maybe reassurance and support is a better tool than judgment and anger.

CalifChick -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 1:41:15 PM)

So you're having sex with men that won't wear a condom, and make up an excuse for why they can't wear it, and you believe them, and to compound it, you expect because they self-identify as DOMINANT instead of any other flavor of MAN, they should be above the problem that they made up which you believe?  I think my head hurts now.

Maybe you need a better filter to find a better quality of dates, who don't lie to you so that you will have sex with them without a condom.

There are as many ED commercials as sanitary products for women in my estimation.

Some for anyone.  Some for Men with Diabetes, or High Blood Pressure.
Some men need to be told just cause they have HTN or DM doesn't make then automatically excempt.
Pharmacology can be complicated as well as side effects.

The pharmacutecical industry has been pursuing the 'phenom' of ED with more vigor than a cure for AIDS.
Huge over statement.

So can someone please explain to me what the f**k is 'unDomly' about getting ED treated?
Maybe you are just hanging around with those sort of men, so generalize.

Why do I have to hear 'I cannot wear a condom, cuz when I try to put one on, it makes my dick limp?'
Cuz whoever you are entertaining and bashing has told you that, ask him.

Sorry...not really in the mood to massage a bunch of egos...really just looking for some insight.  I wouldn't expect to hear this from a vanilla guy...so why am I hearing it from Doms?
So you are saying nilla and choc are different?
Your insight is as far as you return questions to those with whom you speak.

If I woke up some morning withmy pussy sewn shut, I'd run to the ER and keep going till someone 'fixed' me.
This is just plain stupid.  ED is a medical issue, having your pussy sewn shut would have been of your own free will.  ED is not cuz a man chooses it.

WTF is up with male Doms just accepting they will never have intercourse again?
Once again, maybe the men you are speaking to should be asked this question.

Maybe a sewn shut pussy (which means you can't pee either) and a man with ED would make a great couple.

The quote below is taken from http://www.iavi.org/viewpage.cfm?aid=1381

Publication Date: 17 Jun 05
This paper sets out IAVI’s assessment of the total level of spending needed for AIDS vaccine research and development (R&D) in the coming years and the gap between current and projected spending, based upon IAVI policy research findings. To achieve the expansion of viable vaccine candidate throughput, raise the overall quality of the pipeline, and shorten time in phase, we estimate that R&D spending needs to rise from the current (2004) level of around US$690 million a year to approximately US$1.15 to US$1.2 billion a year.

As you'll note, that data was from 2005 and I'm sure that figure is higher now.

windchymes -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 2:08:23 PM)

If a guy thinks he has ED from trying to put on a condom, then the problem isn't with his penis, it's with his head.

Then, again....that's thinking with the other head.....which would put the problem back in his penis....the thinking part of his penis.

Oh hell, now MY head hurts! [&:]

candystripper -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 2:38:23 PM)

First of all, sex ed 101..women do not pee through their pussies, LMAO.  We have a uretha.  Just like men, but in a bit different shape.

Second, yes, I might be self-selecting ; but telling me that doesn't throw much light on the problem.  IME, Doms disregard ED treatments...few vanillas guys I know of would..so again..wtf?

Lastly, I remember the whine from high school differently; it was:

"O, don't make me wear one..I can't feel anything when I do."

But I admit it's been many moons.

CalifChick -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 3:11:12 PM)

You're not getting it, this is not an erectile dysfunction issue... NONE of this, not ONE IOTA, is about ED.  It is about men who have, apparently, found an excuse that you will believe as to why they cannot/will not wear a condom when they have sex with you.

DesFIP -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 3:14:21 PM)

That's not from ED. And no doctor will give out pills for that. It's a psychological thing.

littlesarbonn -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 3:45:24 PM)

Going back to the original question, what I believe you're experiencing is the male inability to admit that there might be ANYTHING physically wrong with the reproductive system. They'll tell themselves over and over that there's nothing wrong, that when they get to the "big moment" everything will be all right and everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) will be happy. But that's not going to happen because there are all sorts of reasons why this is happening, and a lot of drugs these days really hinder male performance, including MANY of the drugs that people take for diabetes. So, rather than just realize that they need something else to perform properly, they prefer to think of themselves as still in shape and able to perform as always, and therefore, they tell themselves they don't need any medical assistance.

That's what's going on. The whole condom issue thing is something completely different.

The ones your hearing in your head ain`t reality candy...

Give us a break...

AquaticSub -> RE: Erectile Dysfunction (9/7/2008 4:54:47 PM)

I gotta admit - I'm with the "You are hearing it because you are putting up with it" crowd. I seriously doubt they have ED issues, they just don't want to wear the condom. Have you flat out said "Well go see a doctor because I'm not having sex without one"?
