tom brady to miss the 2008 season in full...

that means...no playoffs....

awwwwwwwwwwwww poor patriots...

will the same thing happen now to manning???he's playing injured tonight too.

this just proves...dont play an injured player if he is soo major importance to your team....heal him first!!!!!

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is expected to miss the rest of the 2008 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, according to a source familiar with the injury.

Expected to is not an absolute though. I don't blame you for hoping it though, those Pats are a formidable team[:D]

Hope he heals quickly and gets his ass back on the field.

NBC just mentioned that the Pats are bringing in former Tampa Bay QB Chris Simms to work out tomorrow. [8|]

How about Joseph Forte? Looks like the Bears may have a stud running back now.

SilverMark -> RE: awww poor patriots--brady gone for season (9/7/2008 7:57:32 PM)

Feel bad for Brady as I watch My Colts losing!
I am learning to really dislike Tony Dungy's play calling!

brady's preseason injury was his right ankle; his injury yesterday was his left knee. no correlation.

pats are still good enough w/o him to win that miserable division, tho of course it will be a lot closer with the jets and bills fielding fairly competetive teams.

SilverMark -> RE: awww poor patriots--brady gone for season (9/8/2008 3:42:10 AM)

No you're right mostly Peyton and Mohr calling plays....It was the heat of the moment...I had blame someone....no one said I had to be rational in My rooting for My team....so I blamed Dungy...
Next time I am blaming that guy/girl in the Colt costume!....

Aynne88 -> RE: awww poor patriots--brady gone for season (9/8/2008 3:58:39 AM)

That again? [:-] Sour grapes.

Oh and Mike the Jets? We better just talk politics and not football!

They (tv announcers) said that the offensive coordinator for the Colts does not call in plays to Manning.  He calls in "concepts" and Peyton makes the play calling decisions.

cankles -> RE: awww poor patriots--brady gone for season (9/8/2008 8:14:12 AM)

yeah, pretty much. Manning goes to the line with three plays - 2 runs (stretch left, stretch right) and a pass play. he then picks from them according to his own judgement. they've added a lot of wrinkles over the past few seasons (largely out of necessity - injuries, changing personnel), so it's not the same offense as the 04 and 05 colts which was based entirely around the stretch run & play action.

I just about threw up.

I lived through Tony Eason, and I have a gut feeling that Matt Cassell will do better than that. Sooooo, it gives me hope of going 8-8. Anything beyond that will be gravy. TBs injury gives the Bills a huge advantage in taking the East.
Should be an interesting season.
