I never get the bit about 'getting the results' by starting threads. Or by setting up new profiles. Message boards by their definition require a certain amount of interaction and there is after all an audience. The only way you can influence that audience is by reading posts and writing in a way so other people want to read your postings. I think that's why blogs exist. They don't require the same level of interaction. But I could be wrong.

The problem with changing your sn, is that you keep the same personality. Which is why people can identify the multiple personalities of the pink/purple poster for example. The name changes, the attitude doesn't, the reaction/responses remain the same.
