In NYC, people used to try to see what was the fastest time they could ride every train in the city on just one fare. It always sounded cool, but I never felt brave enough to be in some of those stations in the middle of the night. It was usually done by several male friends at once.

Myself, I much prefer ferries. Used to spend hot summer days riding the Staten Island Ferry for just a nickel. Fire Island ferries. Car ferries across Lake Champlain. And many years ago, spent a day in New Brunswick riding car ferries, up and down the river, every ten or twenty miles was another car ferry and took it.

I still haven't ridden the Bridgeport/Port Jeff ferry but mainly because the parking lots are very far from the ferry terminal and the shuttles are inadequate. Almost rode it the other week, but it was at night so I wouldn't have been able to see anything. One of these days.

I geocache, I am obsessed with my photography and I have a major addiction to... tupperware.
I find I do my best writing (even if it is barely legible) on the subways, since I grew up in NYC.
I also like watching other people play video games.

GACK!!!!!!

after my mother died, i went to visit my father, who had been going through her things...he asked me if i needed any tupperware & i said maybe, why?  he led me to the spare bedroom where there was approximately a half-cord of tupperware on one of the beds...he had found it stashed all over the house & garage!!

My grandfather had a stained/leaded/painted glass studio in Berlin. He met my grandmother after he was commissioned to do some work for her father, who had a big construction company there. It's on my list of things to learn how to do, along with making candles and hydroponic veggie growing.

Ferries are very cool, too.

Plane spotting and sculpting things out of various materials - clay, papier mache, root vegetables, etc.

Hippiekinkster: The Warsaw Metro is one line and one of the best in Europe, but watch out for the old trains, the doors bite! Highly recommended is the St Petersburg metro for its architecture.

My lady Slave Sherry Geo-caches, that was our first date, we rode the Harley and had the outdoor thing such as hiking and nature photography in common. That got me interested in her. I metal detect for old coins and jewelry, she is interested in that. My weird hobby which I dont do much anymore is dig up old bottles from the 1800's It is hard to find a old bottle dumps anymore. I find in the woods while hiking. I have a collection of several hundred, such as milk bottles, medicine, beer, soda,  Mason jars. They come in many colors. Some are worth several hundred dollars a piece.

I collect odd and interesting soda bottles.  So many people collect liquor bottles, it's just boring.  But no one thinks about the kick ass soda bottles out there. :)

I could really go for an orange nehi now that I think about it.

I've left many a book around as a result of bookcrossing and I letterbox with my girlies especially when we vacation.  It's like little scavenger hunts.  We love that.  I collect heart shaped rocks.  Photography.  I draw.

Funny, I just fired up my welder last weekend for the first time in about a year, and as I was standing outside in the 90+ degree heat, 110+ percent humidity, wearing jeans, boots, a welding jacket, and heavy leather gloves, I couldn't help thinking... this sucks.

I love bookcrossing!

I make mix cds, in an incredibly neurotic fashion -- all of the songs have to blend together, and create a soundscape. The first and the last song have to blend together if the cd is on loop. I sometimes use themes (like a certain phrase being in each song, or the song titles forming a phrase).

I love writing letters by hand, and postal art.

I make costumes.
