All this says is that there are issues and rumors about Palin... and they need to be either confirmed, or laid to rest, ASAP.


Unlike you, I do my research.

And "research" doesn't mean cruising through Daily kos to find the latest "nuggets".

Most of the stuff that you claim about Palin is bunk, rumor and bullshit or just 1/2 (or 1/4) of the truth, just like the "book banning", her church, her "Alaska Separatists party" affiliation, her "leaving a debt" when she left office. the "lack of vetting" by McCain etc, etc, etc.

You aren't interested in the truth, and you have demonstrated enough times already.

Go do your own research if you want to know more about the author of the letter.

I watch a lot of the newscasts and looking at the "crowds" I find it hard to determine who is a "right wing type"
and who is the local principal, fireman's family member, construuction worker, student, soldier, "left wing nut spying with a webcam, or the local bishop!  Fantastic that you could tell that withhout each of them carrying a sign saying
"Right wing nutcase, Wal-Mart mom"!  Gimme a break!


No, I won't give you a break. I watched and listened. I don't particularly care whether you like my assessment or not. But since I heard one group of women that were interviewed say "she's pretty, and I am mad that the democrats didn't pick a woman so I am thinking about voting for the republican. Plus, shes got good downhome values!!" as all her brainless friends twittered their agreement in the background. I am going to call them rightwing nutcases.

I was just pulling your chain a bit.  I think anybody voting for either candidate for superficial reasons, should just stay home.  If they can't take the time to educate themselves about who they are voting for they deserve whatever comes down the pipe.

Status: offline 		Thank you for sharing that article Thadius. I agree, even though they are usually not very educated about their voting choices, those that do vote tend to do so based upon emotion rather than facts. Not a smart thing to do.

Regardless of whether or not the percentage that actually do vote, make their choices informatively, Obama will have to define his position on the issues that matter most to them and break through their uneducated "just because she's a woman, she must be just like us" mindset and force them to look at facts, not gender.

Because, lets be honest, if she were a 55yo white guy.......none of this drama would be happening. He would be getting bashed for his extreme right views and thats about it.

I have to be honest. I feel totally comfortable attacking the perceived "Walmart mom" characterization quite simply because many aspects of that fit me for many years.

Working women, trying to put in their time at a paying job while dealing with kids, a household, all the crap that being a working class mother deals with. I didn't have the time or energy to pay any attention to politics. I just purely didn't give a shit because it was too far away from my reality. The government was something ran by middle aged white guys with their hands in big corporate american. And no concern for the bulk of the people they were actually supposed to be serving. I felt that most americans did not have a voice, that we were just being pandered to.

The thing is, for many many years I did not vote. Not only because I thought it was a worthless endeavour but also because I had not taken the time to really educate myself about the candidates so, I felt I had no business voting. After all, what possible information would that vote have been made on? So yes, I have a clue what those women are about. I've grown up around them, worked with them, and basically tried my level best to avoid them. I also know that alot of them are not reliable when it comes to making it to the voting booth even though they love to run off their mouths.

This election has gotten the attention of alot of people, people that previously ignored the whole process. The key is for the candidates to try and educate them about the issues that will be affected, before they cast their votes. It's going to be tough because most of America wants that information short and sweet, wrapped up in a pretty package and handed to them.
