Nice to see such a kind, caring, group of  open-minded people. Of course we should always let our sexual preference define our political views. Then we can get some legislation passed making different points of view  from the prevailing majority a genetic defect and demand they be treated medically.

And don't sneer at the idea of them defining being homosexual as being a diesease, requiring mandatory treatment... it's what the religious right attempted to pass in CA, back in '92. They ran two test peices of legislation: one in CA, which was outright nightmare fascisim, (among other things, requiring gays to be fired upon detection, and madatory "ex-gay" treatment) and in CO, which was known as "Ammendment 2". The CA bill was struck down by a squeeker of a margin, and of course, we all know what happened with Ammendment 2... It barely passed, and that triggered an expensive, three year long court battle before it was finally struck down as unconstitutional.

Funny how "gay republicans" became suddenly scarce in CO, during that fight. I guess they didn't like the idea of being turds in the punchbowl.

You are way off base here.  Several people posting in this thread are either gay or bisexual.  Are you not aware that for many years homosexuality was treated as a medical disease and that certain churches still try to "cure" homosexuals?  You do realize that this is an alternative lifestyles site?
