I don't personally, or have not yet, given it any thought. When growing up, I actually used to cut my eyelashes. I already had long hair and the long lashes seemed too feminine. Lot's of teasing and such from living in a rural area. Wish I had never done that. I doubt they would be as long as chia's, but one can hope. . . jim the not so long eyelashes

giggle If you wait until you're grown to have them clipped, you have to keep Vaseline on them. I've seen it happen. It's not pretty. Now... Blue eyes are even better. Blue eyes with long lashes. sigh Drat! I'm going to have to put plastic on my seat cushions.

I wonder if liking long eyelashes is gender neutral? Judging from the replies here (and personal experience) it seems like women like guys with long eyelashes - yet it's considere womanly to highlight them and show them off. I wonder if 'metrosexual' men and gay men accent their eyelashes?

I used to have a great male friend who put mascara in his eyebrows... He was totally Hetro and did this back in the 80's - long before Metrosexuals.
