For those that don't follow the inside baseball of politics, I figured I would give you a glimpse into what to expect over the next few weeks.

Stan Greenberg, a Dem pollster has released a new memo detailing the risks that Obama and other Dems are taking by playing the populism ticket. It can be summed up as he states  "Democratic populism is destroying Democratic credibility on national security."

quote:

Executive Summary

New research by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, conducted for Third Way, finds that Democrats face major challenges and opportunities on national security in this election year.

The historic gap between the parties on national security, which dramatically closed in 2006, has begun re-opening in recent months. The opportunity for Democrats is that the public is deeply unhappy with the Bush approach to Iraq and other foreign policy issues, believing that recent Republican national security policies have been both ineffective and - from energy policy to the treatment of our troops and veterans - particularly harmful to the well-being of average Americans. The challenge is that large shares of the public still perceive Democrats as unwilling to use force, out of touch with the military, and too willing to put politics over principle on security.

The research suggests Democrats must place their criticisms of Republicans on national security within a more cohesive and compelling frame. The research shows the Republican approach to security should be characterized as a continuation of the "reckless and out of touch" policies of the Bush administration, while the Democrats' approach be described as "tough and smart."

The link sums up the key findings the memo and survey results, these will be the hammering points of the next few weeks, so now you have a heads up on where the strategy is or should be headed.
Any thoughts or opinions?

Well, it's been seven years today since 9/11 and that Mexican border is still wide open.
I like the fact that McCain will "go after" Bin Laden "and get the sob!"
Abadabba would "talk" to him and make sure he had a "fair trial."
But, "the Messiah" will be getting on the bus back to palookaville in November!
The people on this site who can't vote all "love" him! lol
You know how you can tell which candidate is going to lose?
It's always the one that Europeans like!
It never fails!
Can you believe that shit, a "community organizer" without a pony tail? WTF!

I guess it would make us feel good but Bin Laden had little if anything to do with 9/11. As I have written, he may have inspired some of those that took part but simply wasn't involved in actually carrying out the plot.

Hell, the last $100,000 came from a Pakistani general that the 9/11 commission never pursued.

I can believe anything once the American people accepted that this clown riding daddy's cost tails...has actually spent the last 8 years in the white house.

Without kids, some of us oldtimers don't have much to worry about but if McCain is elected we are in for inflation, debt and more war. We do have to admire the young of today though...they are going to pay for most of it. Heaven forbid we pay for it.

Inflation will go down under McCain, he's going to make a lot of cuts that the lawyers and lobbyists (who he "Hates") aren't going to like.
As for the kids I don't have any either so Fuck 'Em!
I'm driving a new Lincoln MKS and I love it!
Let's charge everything up and stick "gen-x" with the tab.
With all that shitty depressing music "NIN" we'll REALLY give them something to be depressed about!
Lincolns for everyone! Ha, Ha, Ha!
