MistressPav -> 911 ANNIVERSARY (9/11/2008 12:29:22 AM)

TAKE A MOMENT TO REMEMBER THOSE WHO  LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE 911 TRAGEDY IN NEW YORK CITY 7 YEARS AGO THIS MORNING.

MissSCD -> RE: 911 ANNIVERSARY (9/11/2008 7:33:34 AM)

The anniversary is really not the time to engage in contraversal tactics.  It is the time to remember when this nation was attacked on its own land.
We have not recovered yet.  We probably will never recover.
I remember that day, and what I was doing until my death.
I was on vacation that day. My  ex-husband called me and woke me up in time for me to see the second tower fall.
I knew that was not an American pilot because an American pilot would have done anything to avoid that building.
I stood in my living roon and cried all day. Called everyone in my family to see if they were ok.
My ex-husband and I did a candlight prayer rememberance that night.
I work now on the 11th.  The first couple of years I stayed in the house on that day.
One other thing I remember very strongly is that no airplaines flew all week, and when they did, I was terrified.

Regards, MissSCD

God bless those who lost their lives and their loved ones on that day.  God bless all those around the world who die unnecessarily and before their time.  God grant those left behind the peace, strength and the will to go on.

our home, as the crow flies, is not that far from Shanksville. The smoke was visible for a short time but the smell of the burning jet fuel lingered on and on.

the terrorists tried to hurt us, and they did, but it was proven once again that America is blessed with hero's.

That day changed all our lives, even us across the pond, we felt you that day. It was so impressive the American spirit, those police and firefighters that did their best to help others only to lose their lives, we all saw it, and it hurt.

That event was the event where I lost all faith in Bush and his talk of crusades.
