Archer -> Obama narrowly avoids PR nightmare (9/12/2008 9:03:04 AM)

A Girlscout troop in Napersville Il (Obama's home state), was working on their Ms President award and sent requests for political campaign do dads buttons stickers signs etc from both McCain and Obama's Chicago headquarters.

McCains campaign sent the stuff no problem glad to help bla bla bla
On the other hand Obama's staff directed the troop leader to the website where she could buy the trinkets.
She called back and asked again if she could get some free stuff for the girlscout troop, again she was rebuffed.

Obama spokesperson Justin DeJong got wind of it and corrected the probel quickly.

Talk about a narrow escape from a PR nightmare.

I wonder what would have happened had it been Boy Scouts.  A paramilitary group of right-wing, homophobes getting free stuff from Obama...imagine the outrage.

Trying to spin away from the Palin disaster [8D] ? Or are you bringing the debate back to the real issues?

Just starting a new thread that is contemporary. Are we to ignore Obama so long as any examination of Palin is happening????????????

No spin at all and I resent the implication that it is, I even entitled it to show that eventually the problem was solved.
Had I been spinning it I could have ended the story at the Obama refused to send the girl scout troop any free stuff.
It would have been true up to the point I ended it but not included the rest of the story.

The liberal mainstream-media has given Obama a free pass on one PR nightmare after the other, specifically the PR nightmare of his V-P choice having affirmed during the Democratic primary his 2004 opinion that Obama doesn't have the experience or judgment to be President and just the other day having said that Hillary Clinton would be as good or better a choice for V-P than himself.  If Biden steps aside for Hillary, Obama will then be faced with the PR nightmare that during the Democratic primary Hillary Clinton also said that Obama doesn't have the experience or judgment to be President. :-)

Here in Ron Paul-land, we make our own signage!!

I painted Ron Paul on a mattress...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwEEbk2kvZk     I did the mattress and the sign at the end.  [32 seconds]   It held up fairly good.  This it now looks worn...

I a reading Ron Pauls book, "Revolution, a manifasto."   while not earthshattering it does clear up a few things that dont make it to TV.
