This thought kept me up last night...

Sarah Palin would be a 72 year old man's heartbeat away from the Presidency.

When she began as mayor of Wasilla, the town had no debt. When she left, the town owed $24 million- or more than $4,000 for each of the town's 5,000 residents.
When she was governor of Alaska, she gave the additional oil profits back to citizens, all the while recommending borrowing money for road projects and other needed upgrades to infrastructure.  She believes in borrowing. Big Time.

This is what frightens me.  If Sarah Palin continued in the way she has before, she would add 1.2+ Trillion to the National Debt.  (300+ million folks, $4,000 each).

Why is the fiscally conservative party supporting this  human?

It's an old business adage:

If you cant pay back a dollar anyway, then borrow a million.

This woman is fiscally conservative, I saw it on TV.  The next president of the United States claims that it is so...........

Why doesn't anyone believe it?  Is it the liberal media bias?

Sorry to hear you are losing sleep over rumors...  Where did the $24 Million debt figure come from?  Out of the blue or off of a blog?

Too, I am curious about this "borrowing money for road projects and other needed upgrades to infrastructure", can you please provide a link or source that states she BORROWED any money or has Alaska in debt?   For information about her time as Mayor of Wasilla check out the link below.

Hope that helps solve your sleepless nights.

Sarah Palin left the city of Wasilla with $20+ million in debt.  That is not a desputed fact.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/12987.html

She believes in borrowing for the future.  I think we have too much debt and that borrowing is irresponsible.

I just linked you to all the financial records.  The link you provided is from the first day of her announcement and much of what is included in it has been disproved.  The only debt that was long term was the financing of the sports/activity center, which was about $330K.

The part that you will also notice is that the revenues and budget (because of growth) went from around $2M to where it is now about $30M.  Palin sparked much of that growth by creating an actual police department and other "needs" for a town to grow.  Just an FYI.

Take a look, at the link I provided, it has all of the official documents, and all of those requested recently because of the attention.

That is the email that started many of the rumors.

Nope, OIL, it means money locally, but they are wont to clean up the messes.

That's the thing, for a man of good stewardship.

Drill, Baby, Drill.
That's ok, with me, clean up your fucking messes, and leave some for the next generation.

Thad, I know you can feature that.

While we disagree in fact here, I think, we are agreed in principle.

Hup.

I agree with you about the oil revenues and such, I am suggesting that under her mayorship the infrastructure to grow the town was laid. Nothing more, nothing less.

Drill baby drill... as long as it is combined with all of the other stuffs... you know the stuffs that is going to take the place of these dinosaur squeezings and our love for them.

I always require a woman to wipe up after a geyser spurts the Thadius tea, so I think it is fair to ask that of those lookin fer oil.
