If you like GreedyTop, flying monkeys, the Wizard of Oz and King Kong as much as I do, you may enjoy this little video I put together for her.  The general reaction so far has been that the video is fun to watch.  It’s not your average slideshow and it contains heavily edited movie clips, special photoshop effects, lots of pictures of GreedyTop with wings and custom audio tracks featuring your favorite sadistic DJ. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did making it.

when i was watching this video the other night....all i could say was WOW....watching it again....all i can say is fucking WOW, Sir.
Greedy you are such a special one to have inspired Sir to put this together. unbeliveable the amount of time it took him...(140 somethning hours????) a really cool thing about this is not only is this something that you now have, but also how much he learned about video production making this for you and us. so very cool!

Thank you all for your comments and compliments.  GreedyTop is great person.  She makes good subject matter and it was a gas making that video about her.  The best compliment I am getting is that no one can believe how long it is because it feels like it goes by quickly.  That means I timed the editing well.  To answer some questions:

1.  Yes, the video is public (with permission) and I have comments turned on.  Here is the YouTube link.

2.  They idea started a while ago when GreedyTop, slurpee’s and flying monkeys came up in a thread somehow or another.  It was that slurpee poster advertisement I made that started all this.

3.  Yes, that is a modified RCA test pattern in the beginning count down.  The pattern was originally used in 1939 on something called a monoscope.  Each one of those has 10 layers of photos so… that makes photos processed to compose the count down.

4.  Yes, there is a web in the root URL.  I just uploaded a links menu under the video or go to GreedyTop web site draft.  It is mostly an html slide show experiment with animated banners and main page.

In reply to the geek questions and letters:

Yes, there really are 140 hours work in this.  However, it would have taken half that time if I were already familiar with all the software instead of having just learned it.  There are 18,840 frames, 227 scenes changes pans/fades/edits.  I also had to make 62 sound/voice/music samples to compose 7 unique audio tracks. 

The hardest part was the 15 second Monkey Feathers Production logo.  I decompiled a video commercial into 1,800 individual frames to edit it down to 450 frames, all of which had to be processed in photoshop and recompiled.  It takes a while to create and save 450 photos in photoshop.  To get the bra to swing back and forth at the end during the sepia tone fade, I had to build video loops and fades… not to mention the DJ micro mix audio track.

Windows Movie Maker v5.1
On my main machine.  First draft compilations and final sound mix because v6 doesn’t have individual clip volumes. 

Windows Movie Maker v6.0
On the laptop.  Final draft compilation for the additional pan/sweep/fade effects not available in v5.1. 

Sony Vegas Pro 8
For non linier fades and effects, creating clips for inserts. 

Blaze Media Pro
Video clip editor, decompiler and video or audio format conversion.

Movie Converter v3.0
Additional video format conversion.

Sound Forge V.9
WAV editor.

Acid Pro v6.0
Music studio for audio track compilation.

BladeEnc
WAV to MP3 converter.
