When a dom "volunteers" to cook the 'BBQ', the following chain of events are put into motion:

1)  The sub goes to the store.
2)  The sub fixes the salad, vegetables, and dessert.
3)  The sub prepares the meat for cooking, places it in a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils, and takes it to the dom, who is lounging beside the grill, 3rd beer in hand.
4) The dom places the meat on the grill.
5)  The sub goes inside to set the table and check the vegetables and tosses the salad.
6)  The sub goes outside to politely remind the dom to turn the meat.
7)  The dom takes the meat off the grill and hands it to the sub.
8)  The sub prepares the plates and brings them to the table.
9)  After eating, the sub clears the table and does the dishes
10)  Everyone praises the dom and thanks him for his superb cooking efforts.
11)  The dom asks the sub how she enjoyed  "her night off." and upon noticing a delay in the expected ecstatic reaction, concludes that there is just
NO pleasing some subbies. . . .

You got a couple wrong...

4. Sub places meat on grill and checks it until done while completing number 5
6. Sub goes outside reminds Dom to turn meat, does it herself before it burns.

The rest are correct.

After reading this , I repeated it to the Dom I am with... His answer, " That isnt all right.".. to which I answered, "True you dont have any beers and never ask me how I enjoyed my night off."

What is peon's problem?  The Dom was there watching the fire so they could call for help if it starts to get out of control.

*Watches as Saratov drinks the beer and stares into the fire getting too close and having to be put out by poenkitten before he and the meat become charcoal briquettes.

I calls em as I have lived em.

You missed the bit of sub running back and forth between inside and out while trying to get everything else done and keep him company at the grill.

These days I don't give him the meat platter (on wax paper so as not to contaminate the dish with uncooked meat bacteria) until I've done everything else first.

LOL... you all are too funny.  See how language is interpeted...

Wanna Grill = I'll start the fire, set up the sprinkler for the kids and sit in the shade while you make dinner, and I want steak.

What's for dinner = If you can't whip up something in the next 30 minutes, I'm ordering pizza.  I need chocolate and a drink while I wait.

Ok, I'll stop for now... LOL
