She's a dead ringer for Palin.

She's even got the hand motions and the fake Canadian-nasal whine down pat. I hope, in a future show, they'll get the McKenzie Brothers to pair up with her in a sketch. Or maybe Kathy McDormand (the police chief from Fargo).

The resemblance is uncanny, but Fey has a harder time making it look like she fights dirty when for Palin, it's obvious it comes naturally  .

LOL, I loved watching the skit.
I have watched it at least 10 times!
"I can see Russia from my house!"...priceless.

Imagining THIS woman as the Commander in Chief?  frightening!

I can see Japan from mine, if I really, really, really squint.  Does that make me an expert on foreign policy, too?

I hate it when moose wear dresses.  I think an elegant trouser suit is much more appropriate for being out in the fields.

See,that's the sort of insight we need a heart beat away...

Just an interesting bit of fallout from the sketch: the mouthpeice for the McCain campaign immediately called the sketch "sexist." Man, they just can't take the slightest bit of ribbing can they?

McCain Palin: because the white house is no place to have a sense of humor about yourself.

Sarah Palin said she watched the video clip of this SNL skit, but that she did so with the volume OFF.

Fey, along with Jimmy Fallon, are really the two best talents on that show. (Well, I like Maya a lot too...) But Fey has become a major writer... her "Mean Girls" movie was brilliant. Now, thanks to her accidental resemblance to a fourth rate politician who was utterly unkown just a few weeks ago, she's garunteed a place in history.

My first impression of Palin's accent was that she sounded like someone from MN.

popeye1250: Obama's qualifications on international relations are supported by his consistant opposition of the War in Iraq. It's not that Obama is the greatest expert on foreign relations. It's that by being wrong all the time, McCain sets the bar so low.

The accent is semi-Canadian. (There's this country, see, that is between the US and Alaska... and they all kinda talk like that. [see: Bob and Doug McKenzie]) No doubt, McCain will say something about being able to cross the Alaska/Washington State border.... just as he did with the Iraq/Pakistan one.

I would love to see Sarah Palin do an impression of Tina Fey...!  Now that would show a great sense of humor.  Tina said she hopes she would not have to do Sarah after November...

Sarah:  "We are going to win this election in November, and Tina is going to have to impersonate me for years, and years, and years....  "  <Big grin on her face>

These two together are amazing, Tina Fey is spot on... and the sexism suddenly becoming an issue remark... spot on..
