Every day I get anywhere from 2 to 5 forwarded emails from my ex-sister-in-law. These are the kind of emails that threaten bad things, even death, if I don't forward the message on. Or they're cute little kitten poems...or urgent emails to search for teens that aren't actually missing. Or hilarious ~cough~ lists about the agonies of aging.

This must stop. I'm lousy at cleaning out my inbox (save your double entendre responses to that), so I have about 2000 emails right now. Please give me your creative, funny, snarky ideas of how I can get her to knock it the hell off.[:D]

You could always give her a new email address, say make a yahoo account, and tell her you are changing to that one for some reason or another... and then just never check it

Do what I do....next time you see them say to them  "Please don't forward any more of that shit to me.  I don't read them.  I don't even open them.  I only delete them."  Then smile, walk away and find yourself even lower in the family food chain.

Thank you! That's true...and would be easy enough, but somehow doesn't seem to have the viciousness factor I was looking for.

God I hate those things.  I delete them before I read them.  My cousin sends a bunch of those out, daily.  I told her I now delete anything in my inbox from her with "Fw:" in the subject line. 

I suppose if you wanted to, you could forward five junk emails back to her for every one she sends you, but talk about a time waster.  You can create a "rule" in your email that automatically forwards her mail into a different folder - either her own folder or the trash folder.

This is an efficient idea. Sort of like the submissions I, uh, submit that feed directly from the fax machine into the shredder...

Pick a time when you know she won't be at her computer for a few days and forward EVERYTHING she has in your in box back to her and also forward every piece of junk mail you have to her. This is kinda nasty, which I like, except some of them request a return message. She would only be encouraged.

I had a friend who used to do this shit and I asked her to stop. Nope she kept sending them, so finally I started forwarding her emails about things I knew she had no interest in or found icky...like BDSM, bondage, pet play, etc etc you get the picture. Suddenly she just stopped forwarding anymore messages...

i really really hate those things too...when i told my ex-sister-in-law--why are they always from ex-sisters-in-law & cousins?--that i deleted anything with Fw in the subject, she started editing the subject lines...i did block my cousin & a friend so that i didn't have to deal with that crap after i repeatedly asked them to cease & desist...there's a special place in hell for people like that.....
