Pick a time when you know she won't be at her computer for a few days and forward EVERYTHING she has in your in box back to her and also forward every piece of junk mail you have to her. That should overload her in box and keep her busy for a while cleaning it all out

Devious and delicious. However, she has no life outside of the computer.

Like I do.

I had a friend who used to do this shit and I asked her to stop. Nope she kept sending them, so finally I started forwarding her emails about things I knew she had no interest in or found icky...like BDSM, bondage, pet play, etc etc you get the picture. Suddenly she just stopped forwarding anymore messages...

~Lashra

If I told her my "icky" stuff DHS would be here so fast a black hole would form and suck us all into nothingness.

i really really hate those things too...when i told my ex-sister-in-law--why are they always from ex-sisters-in-law & cousins?--that i deleted anything with Fw in the subject, she started editing the subject lines...i did block my cousin & a friend so that i didn't have to deal with that crap after i repeatedly asked them to cease & desist...there's a special place in hell for people like that.....

I agree. Meanwhile she's spreading her own little version of hell all over Gore's Internets.

I prefer sending a personal email... so no worries about me sending these out.

I had a "friend" who did that, and never used the BCC feature, but instead, sent my email address on to everyone else in her address book with the forwarded email.  I told her to stop it immediately, because I didn't want my email address being forwarded all over the internet as the email spread.

She did it one more time and I told her to take me off her list or I was going to make her life hell.  I was half-smiling at the time.  She got the hint.

my apologies if someone already suggested this but i would re-FW them back to her.

if she continues, then i would write a small note explaining of not wanting the chain letter emails sent to my account and then placing her addy on the spam list.

i know it sounds mean spirited but i get over 25 of these chain letters from one particular cousin and friends ...and i've put them on notice i don't want them.

I usually "bounce" the message back, as that's an option with Apple's Mail.app. From what I understand, Outlook or Outlook Express doesn't have that option built in but there are third-party add ons that do the trick.

In Apple's "bounce", the message is returned to the sender with basically an "address unknown" message. As far as the sender sees it, the message would never have been opened or received.

I'm with you on this one, Cali.  I hate getting group emails that show email addy's for everyone under the sun.  And then of course if it's one of those little questionaire type chain spams, inevitably there will be a few on the list who "reply all" so then I get all these tidbits of people I don't even know.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Any photos of men I may have (not that I would have any) are strictly for research only. Richard Simmons is definitely toxic waste!

This drives me up a wall too. If it's a legitimate send to a group, I'll address the message to myself and put the group name in the BCC field (with my mailer's preference set to NOT display individual names within the group). Trying to explain others how to do this, though, can be very hard on the brain...

Explaining that BCC = Blind Carbon Copy?  (Okay, I think in the technology age that has been changed to Blind Courtesy Copy).  What do they think that Blind means anyway?

I am glad that I have never had to explain that.  I thought that it was just a KNOWN.
