With all this talk about being "soft or hard on homosexuality" I suggest we join hands and sing along to the tune of "Honesty is such a lonely word" inserting "sodomy" instead.

"Sodomy is such a lonely word and mostly what I need from you.  Sodomy is hardly ever heard, everyone is so untrue!"    [sm=dancing.gif]

kittinSol -> RE: AIG, Ron Paaul, Fox (9/18/2008 10:52:56 AM)

Thanks for the sexy nursing, Ven, but... I have to ask, because... well... but how can 'sodomy' be a lonely word [&:] ? Surely, it takes two to... huh, to tango? Or is my lack of sex toys knowledge showing here [8D] ?

Look, INeed toUse, My larger point is that I find Paul's Libertarian view regarding limiting government's role in interfering with what individual's do in their "pursuit of happiness" to conflict with his views on states' rights to legislate against that pursuit when it does not harm others or society at large.

I , in fact, do not think that Paul is anti-gay. He hasn't made any statements to lead one to believe that is the case that I'm aware of. His view on states' rights to legislate regarding sexual and other private practices does, however, open the door for local governments to make laws based on "community standards" rather than on Constitutional guarantees for equal protection under the law. He's said so in his position on the Lawrence case.

My primary boy has a fucking machine that can be used by one persons or many.

I suggest putting your drink down before opening this web page or watching any of the demo videos.

the best thing for gay [or straight] people is sound money.

I think I am mentally ill.

We owe over 8 trillian.. and Social Security is locked up in a safe lock box.  We bail out all the companies WITHOUT even breaking into the lock box.

This after we did not privatize a portion of Social Security.

man oh man.  I probaly should go to church - so I can see Jesus... that way - I wont notice if I am cold and hungry and on the street in my frail years.

Well, I have to keep half the bottle for myself, but your welcome to the other half.

Original Format:
hunk, I'm puzzled by your support of Ron Paul in the light of his views on equal rights for homosexuals, i.e., he doesn't support them. Care to comment ?

Can be rephrased.
Ron Paul's views on equal rights for homosexuals, i.e., Ron Paul doesn't support them(equal rights for homosexuals).

Simplified to it's simplest meaning is.
Ron Paul doesn't support them(equal rights for homosexuals).

Now, are you arguing against my assertion, that he is saying that "Ron Paul doesn't support equal rights for homosexuals."

So, his premise is that the reason he voted against those things since nothing else was mention is because. "Ron Paul doesn't support equal rights for homosexuals."

So, given that as fact, and I think it is a fact, that was the ascertion (though false).

How can could I actively work to suppress your rights for example, and be pro-Kittin, or nuetral-Kittin. If my purpose and intent is to suppress your rights, by default I would be anti-kittin.

So, a statement like "NTUY doesn't support kittin having equal rights", would mean I'm working with the goal of you not having certain rights, others have.  Or I have an Anti-Kittin agenda. Or negating term you want to use.

So, there you have it.

Now, I pointed out that the reason he voted against those things had nothing to do with gay people but rather separation of religion, federal and states rights. So, a correct assertion would be

Ron Paul is against Federal encroachment into areas reserved for the States regardless of the issue at hand, or he is for a separation of religion and Federal and state legal contracts.

The reasoning had nothing to do with homosexuals necessarily. So, therefore he isn't against equal rights for homosexuals. Or Anti-Homosexual rights.

Send me your address, I'll hand deliver the bottle of ibuprofen, along with rope, lube, and a GAG. LOL. [:D]

I'll bring a gag for me to. I give myself a headache after awhile.

Well, the original statement didn't say that. But I'm glad you don't think that way, as people make all kinds of wild assertions up here all the time about candidates, it gets old. Like Obama is a Muslim, or Palin wants Alaska to secede, or Ron Paul is a Racist, or against gays(Not the first time this has been mentioned, thus my jumping, probably).

Oh well, it was fun. We all agree Ron Paul is for equal rights for homosexuals.

Vendaval -> RE: AIG, Ron Paaul, Fox (9/18/2008 11:23:26 AM)

At least I warned you dear.  Now lay back and rest.

Oh. lawdy...I never said that either. I don't know if he is or isn't.

Re your post #29...[sm=ofcourse.gif]

I feel like I'm on acid. I don't think my statement needs "rephrasing" or" paraphrasing", in order to make your point tyvm, sir.

Consider that the sodomy laws that were struck down inthe Lawrence case do not single out homosexuals. They apply to everyone regardless of sexual orientation. The reason I asked the question of hunky is because I was curious about his .support for Paul in light of his sexual preference. If I was not clear on this, I apologize.

Sodomy is popular with other populations as dear kittinSol and the lovely Vendaval have pointed out.

Now, where is my Vicodin and that broomstick ?

Vendaval -> RE: AIG, Ron Paaul, Fox (9/18/2008 9:50:33 PM)

One of my favorite quotes about sodomy laws came from Robin Williams.  To paraphrase his routine,

"In certain states there are laws against sodomy so for doing something consensual in the privacy of your own home with a willing adult participant you get arrested.  Then you go to jail and then to trial and finally to prison.  Once placed in the cell you meet your cell mate, Big Bubba and the first thing he says to you is, 'Your ass is mine, boy!'  Please explain how this is supposed to make sense or further the cause of justice?!"
