NYC has been cracking down a lot; some of my friends were arrested at another place (where I had also worked). They never even bothered to file charges. This has such BS, following the Spizer arrests....I think this is the 3-4th place...

So...prostate massages don't count as sex? Or are we defending prostitution? Dominatrixes walk a fine line, and they know it. All of the strong defenders of the "Domination is not prostitution" belief are very strict about not crossing that line...in my opinion, a prostate massage does cross the line into prostitution territory. I don't really consider professional domination as having 'anything to do with me'. I practice BDSM in private, for my own pleasure, they do what is a pretty sexual activity in public for cashy money. When cops start raiding private bedrooms, I'll start getting nervous. But if we're just advocating professional prostitution, then: Yay! ~Katie978

The reality is that the many of the clients DON'T come info anal play but the ones that do essentially only come in for that. SO those who are looking for actual BDSM such as bondage, spanking, flogging, etc are getting screwed so that the vocal minority that equate anal play with ‘domination’ get their fill. No, not every one does it either, but by not doing it, you are essentially talking yourself out of money. I have asked a lot of cops this, including clients, and all I would get back is that it was a ‘grey area’. I know woman who had been picked up at an earlier raid who said that not only were they treated obnoxiously (the cops at the raid, besides making the lewd come-ons also tried to stand there as they changed into street clothes and take photos of them in fetish gear). Once they were processed, no charges were actually filed. Everything got dropped (the cops were claiming they had voice recordings but since none of the woman, in fact, said anything about anal play what was already a weak case was nonexistent). What is basically going on is they are just trying to shut the clubs down. No women, no clubs.

Charges getting dropped happens a lot in the city. It starts with people complaining about the foot traffic. Then the vice squad comes in with a under cover and asks for a prostate massage which according to the nypd equals penetration and thereby prostitution in their eyes. The charges get dropped when they give the case to the DA and they drop the charges. They cant arrest you for wearing latex, playing with wax, bondage, or flogging but the prostate massage is their catch 22 with fetish clubs. When the cops speak to the DA they don't see it the same way and the charges get thrown out but the Mistress got arrested and they can make the people that were complaining happy. The law defines prostitution as sexual contact so i could see them even seeing CBT as prostitution. NYS Penal Law § 230.00 Prostitution. A person is guilty of prostitution when such person engages or agrees or offers to engage in sexual conduct with another person in return for a fee. Prostitution is a class B Misdemeanor.

My mom just emailed me the NYPost article re the DomPac etc. I can’t tell if it disturbing or funny that she is like the BDSM/ProDomme clipping service for me lol. I can't speak about Coyote, but this new efforts seems aimed at the Pro scene vs general restrictive sex laws (or am I missing something re coyote?).

They were an advocacy group for hookers (back before it became a PC violation to refer to any group by a slang name), and against sex laws in general... more on the West coast as I recall.
