Hello collarme folks,
I'm brand new to this -- have been fighting with my submissive feelings for ages, -- and am so relieved to find (for the most part) such smart, thoughtful people here. I used to think my desire for a dominant man was a poisonous byproduct of a sexist society -- that, despite my being raised to be strong and assertive, traditional gender role foolishness had somehow seeped into my system. Now I can read the profiles of other women who are at once submissive and so obviously strong and smart -- probably super obvious to you all, but a revelation to me!
So I'll keep lurking for a while, reading up on this new world. Much of it turns me off (I'm not in to pain, which seems to be a big theme here), in fact, I suspect that my kink is rather mild -- more psychological than physical (though I love sex!) -- but it's fun to finally be ridding myself of shame and investigating this side of my sexual self.
