John McCain went out on a limb today, saying that the Securities Exchange Comissioner (Cox) would be fired, if were he President right now. (You can almost hear it in the echo from the PA... "How DARE he implement policies that I encouraged over the last eight years?!) Barrack Obama responded with... "well, in 47 days, the American people have the chance to fire everyone involved." SEC Comissioner Cox, responding to McCain's speech, said simply, "I'm out of here in 47 days anyway, and have no intention of staying, no matter who wins." Which kind of puts things into perspective... the comment was just a cheap stab of McCain's, taking a swipe at an underling when he knew it wouldn't matter anyway. Once again, the republicans try to find a scapegoat, instead of looking at the problem head on.
