For me, it is those odd things that make the scene.  I often have no idea what I am going to do, I rarely plan a scene, I just start fooling around, seeing what is turning me on, getting a reaction from her and then suddenly, we both fall into a groove and off we go.  While I can send someone into subspace with the best of them, sometimes keeping them from going there is even more delicious.  I am very much a talker doing play, whispering or saying things to push their minds where I want them to go.  A mouse eh?  Imagine being tied down and covered in peanutbutter as your next punishment...or "finally, I can hurt my little painslut cause that wittle mouse messed up her poor little headspace, <insert evil laugh> and off we go!

I was doing a really intense rough body play scene at a party.  I mean I have the shot gloves flying as they thud off his pecs and upper arms.  He is glaring at me, grunting I am smiling that nasty little sadist smile that I get when I am flying.  We have locked eyes as I rear back to come at him with both fists this time to the sound of some intense heavy metal when it happened.  Someone had put in a polka tune!!  That was it.  In like 5 seconds we both started giggling like schoolgirls and couldn't stop.  Man was that a total bummer.  Trying to transistion from me pounding him like a cut of cheap meat to this om pha pha crap tinkling out of the speakers.  I defy anyone to stay stern and commanding to polka music lol.

Good try CD.  But there is just something inherently silly about tuba and accordian music.

My unintentional little thing also has to do with accidental music.

A few years ago while I was still living in a noisy apartment (the kind where you wake up from your neighbours alarm clock) I had picked op my sub from the train station and we entered the house.
It was our first weekend of non stop play together and she was nervous as hell. While I was in the process of tacking her coat, cuffing her hands behind her back and blindfolding her it happened.
I just closed the cuff and the same moment as I picked up the blindfold one of my neighbours started playing an old Dutch song called “vluchten kan niet meer” freely translated “escape is no longer an option”. It’s a terrible song that no amount of therapy will ever get you over and forces you to want to make howling dog noises.
Any way the timing was more than perfect we both smiled and she stopped being nervous. We had a wonderful weekend.

I just want to say thanks for everyone for this thread. I needed the laugh! You all are a great bunch. I hope to have some stories like this myself in the future.

All of my first experiences were as a submissive.  I was doing a fire-play demo with a good Dom friend.  I was wearing a pretty carol channing style purple wig.  He had me tied face first on the Y frame and was working me over pretty good. I'd just had a good flogging and was flying pretty high as she set me on fire.  He had told me to be quiet, and when I moaned, he reached up to jerk my head back and jerked my wig off!  We both burst into peals of laughter.  Needless to say it was over but my god it was funny.

One other night, something more intense happened.  It was my very first public scene and I was once again on the Y frame.  Unbound but commanded to not move, he had a sheer scarf over my face and eyes.  He was using a knife coupled with electricty, which made it feel like I was being cut.  I had been told to not open my eyes either.  He jerked the knife over my throat and I honestly felt like my throat had been cut and I was bleeding to death.  I snapped my head, my eyes shot open, and the scarf fell off my face.  He said nothing, but slapped my face ( which up to that very point I felt was a limit ).  I collapsed at his feet from the most forceful orgasm of my life and laid there in orgasmic subspace for the rest of the evening.  I had to be carried out at the end of the night.

Why am I envisioning Jerry in black leather and Tom wearing a ball gag (OH COME ON...you KNEW who was the top in that couple!)

HEY Michael.   Welcome back.  Good to see you.

I've never actually had a scene ruined completely; we've always recovered from it. Outside of a scene is a totally different matter; I've had some devastating moments where a distraction caused irrevocable laughter and reset the subspace/Domspace meter.

But what happens most often is interruptions in just a plain old vanilla seduction. Those typically have a strong Dom/sub dynamic to them anyway, so that's what came to mind; I can think of dozens of times when a song change, or sticking to the leather on a couch, or a phone call at an inopportune time totally ruined the moment.

Yep, that diddly-diddly music is a real killer! Haven't experienced oom pa pa music ... fortunately ... but I am sure that would be equally passion-killing! However, I also hate techno and rap ... yet some swear by that for bdsm. I just find Myself tooth-grinding over how incredibly monotonous it is!

Not sure whether having the cat come along for the ride (with just enough claws out to stay put!) or the dogs running off in fear at the first spank is more offputting!

As to laughter, well as a sub i go through a laughter stage on my way into subspace ... so Master has had to get used to that and not let it phase Him! We call it "giggle space" and He now rather enjoys it. Especially when He's inducing it by verbally teasing me, making me squirm in public, rather than by the more usual ways of spanking, flogging etc.

Great thread!

See, all these examples are why I do NOT have music on while I play!

That rap song with the orphans from Annie...singing "Its a hard knock life for us".....blew one of my better scenes. Somehow me standing up against restraints and rolling my eyes kinda ruined the vibe.

You mean this song from Goldmember?

lol...Tress...

me too, me too....
it was a tragedy of enormous magnitude...luckily that whole subfrenzy thing kind of insulated me from permanent harm...
And to be fair, they did remove that one from the rotation.
And it wasnt the Goldmember version...it was a "legit" recording artist...i think if Mike Myers had been involved i would have whined less.

3. Same slave, an evening in the long-gone "Shadowfind" dungeon in Niles, MI. We've been playing all day, on and off. There are 3 other couples in this TINY little space that used to serve as the downstairs dungeon. Enigma or something is playing on the CD player. The disk ends, and this goofy "Irish Rovers" type music comes on. Like a collection of reels and jigs. Now I love Celtic music, but this was the worst of the "diddly-diddly" style, and it was really silly. And really not fitting for the spanks, slaps, grunts, moans and groans going on all around. I start talking in my wee little leperchaun voice and doing a little jig as I'm flogging My slave. Someone giggles something about her "lucky charms". Soon everyone in the space is laughing and making silly jokes and any "serious" B/D/S/M behavior is out the window.

That's fantastic! Hey, at least the scene ended with fun.

Yeah...we're too hip out here in CT...i mean really now, our rep hasnt preceded us here??  Disco, huh?...im envisioning a dom in a white suit with a black shirt...
OH!!!!...and the big white BELT...wait...that might be hot. i think there is a disco ball somewhere in there, but frankly, my head is generally closer to the floor most of the time im inside...havent seen the ceiling in a looong time.
Come to think of it, im trying to remember the last time ive been "having fun" and been able to see any ceiling this year. i sense a pattern forming here.
