lemmebeYourMine -> RE: If you were a character in a book. (9/19/2008 8:27:08 PM)

GT... I was so gonna say Anita Blake :P LoL, and not "just because." That girl has all the sex she wants (and then sum) WHO wouldn't like that??? OH and of course she's this totally sarcastic bad ass chick.

Killing vampires and all the preternatural troubles... maybe I'd have to pass on, but sex with some of the Most hung men; now that's what I'm talking about...

But ... so as not to be a copy cat, I will be Merry Gentry from Hamilton's others eries...
Hell, she's having sex with the Queen's own;  and she's a fairy, that's pretty darn cool. . .

Lemmebe.

Ford Prefect or Arthur Dent. Either one. Perhaps I could switch between the two on any given day or at any given time, depending upon the circumstance. Definitely not Zaphod though. There's too many issues with that one.

cravesdom -> RE: If you were a character in a book. (9/19/2008 11:36:57 PM)

I hate to copy, but I have to pick Anita Blake too. I mean, come on. She has sex as often as I would if I could possibly get away with it! And with the sexiest werewolves and vampires around. And they all love her. Plus she is tough and smart. And when anyone needs something done, they come to her.

Plus how fun would it be to raise zombies and stake bad vamps for a living. Never a dull moment in her life.

GreedyTop -> RE: If you were a character in a book. (9/19/2008 11:49:40 PM)

Merry Gentry would be great too!!

sirsholly -> RE: If you were a character in a book. (9/20/2008 3:16:15 AM)

Francesca Johnson from The Bridges of Madison County.
But only for the passionate parts with Robert Kincaid.....not for the part where they say goodbye.....

I have no idea who Anita blake is, but I'm obviously going to have to get the book.

When I was younger, I wanted to be The Happy Hooker.  Except not the Hooker part, just.....Happy. [8|]

Anita Blake... just because... :D

*chuckles* how did I know?!?!

She is one of my top choices.. but so is Phedre no' Delaunay. She has been through much, seen much, endured much.. and is damn strong.

What a fun idea for a thread!

Diane Gabaldon´s character... Remember those books?  Set in 1700s,  Scotland and a few other places... The woman who goes back in time... Claire Fraser... She is very realistic.  And flawed.  And they argue and have a really amazing experience.  Also, I was always fascinated with the medicinal uses of plants (and leeches and spider webs and such)

The books are addictive... start with Guilty Pleasures at the begining..

Her Meridith Gentry books are also damn addictive.

Ohhhh I also loved the story of Meg and Dominic from Untamed by Elizabeth Lowell. http://www.amazon.com/Untamed-Elizabeth-Lowell/dp/0380769530

It just made me swoon as a sub when he treated her like a falcon to tame her... placing bells on her.. keeping her in a darkened room.. placing her in his lap.. and any food or drink was taken solely from his hands or lips. So she came to trust and love him. *swoons*

Damn where are big strapping, smart, sexy, strong men who also have a soft spot in thier heart like that?

I know.. I know.. in books.

*swoons again*

Gwyn,
Who was taking herbalisim classes when she began reading that book.. and realy hit a spot with her.

zakkan -> RE: If you were a character in a book. (9/20/2008 12:14:09 PM)

I will settle for any character that has "lived happily ever after" at the end of the book.
