Oh my word is it good!

It goes on about what she does with her life after comming back, and being a vampire. *sighs* http://www.amazon.com/Mina-Dracula-Continues-Elaine-Bergstrom/dp/0441006620/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1222053958&sr=8-7

Here is a song for you while we are at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-vzjZenAQM

I know this is the wrong thread.. but I hate it that all the Fiction books I love went with my girl.

Oh, it's a psychic moment!  I just finished quoting from the lyrics to that song, in an entirely unrelated thread, and this was the next thing I read.  Things converge!

Love Song For A Vampire

Come into these arms again
And lay your body down
The rhythm of this trembling heart
Is beating like a drum

It beats for you - It bleeds for you
It knows not how it sounds
For it is the drum of drums
It is the song of songs...

Once I had the rarest rose
That ever deigned to bloom.
Cruel winter chilled the bud
And stole my flower too soon.

Oh loneliness - oh hopelessness
To search the ends of time
For there is in all the world
No greater love than mine.

Love, oh love, oh love...
Still falls the rain... (still falls the rain)
Love, oh love, oh, love...
Still falls the night...
Love, oh love, oh love...
Be mine forever.... (be mine forever)
Love, oh love, oh love....

Let me be the only one
To keep you from the cold
Now the floor of heaven's lain
With stars of brightest gold

They shine for you - they shine for you
They burn for all to see
Come into these arms again
And set this spirit free

- Annie Lennox

I would be Laura Edwards... from a novel called "In A Moment"... ok, So I know that none of you have read it, or even heard of it, but it's ok... you will some day! As soon as I finish writing it, and get it published... lol

But in a book that I have read that is actually written, and published, I would be the main Charactor (I forget her name) from The book Catalyst by Laurie Halse Anderson... I wish I was more like her... I don't sleep, and I'm so worried about my family, about my dad, and just about everyone... But I get pissed when people steal my thunder, and always feel bad for it afterwards, however, when she doesn't sleep, she exercises, she does work, she studies, she does homework, she applies to college... I wish I could do that...

By the way, I found this video, posted by the Diva, herself! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhG8zC4npsE&feature=related

Was I the only one who cried and cried, at that movie?

When you go to her youtube site,
http://www.youtube.com/user/AnnieLennox, you'll find that she's involved in helping provide medical rescue of HIV+ people, in South Africa.  See her website, SING, at annielennoxsing.com.  People can buy great music and support the cause, at the same time!

Change the world.

'Kay, what's the prize? :D

I cheated. Googled it. But I'm still not sure. I mean...it could be a book he authored, although he is then not the character of his own book. However, since they are his thoughts and words, perhaps one could extrapolate from that association that the focus of the book is his character. So I'm gonna say The Gentle Art of Making Enemies.

Do I win? :D

Uhm....

Oh...and to answer the OP's question....slut from the Concise Oxford Dictionary.

Okay, so getting serious...

Gee...seems PhèdreDelaunay de Montrève has been mentioned twice already. That would have been my top pick though. :)

If you could be any character in a book what character would you be?

I always when I was little pretended that I was Anne of Green Gables. I enjoyed the series of books and loved the movies even more. She is a fiery redhead with a temper who often speaks before she thinks. (Much like me) she is a nerd (much like me ) head buried in books and good at school.

Imp, I LOVED that series!! When I was growing up I'd read them over & over again!!  Wow, I'd forgotten about Anne, thanks for reviving her in my mind! :))

Lindsey Boxer would be my character of choice.

The Author was even older than Potty....

I read them over and over again.

I was listening to a book on my ipod at work today and I'd say character of the day is Georgia from the friday night knitting club.

AM I am the only one who thinks that Juliannadelion, whose chest says "Ashers Slut" in the current profile pic, wanting to be Anita Blake is a little ...erm, Ironic...for lack of better word.  Although, I'd rather be a living character than one who was dead too, so can't say I blame her, but... There were just too many "coincidences" in it for me to leave sit, and not point out.
And again, Darn GT for beating me to the "punch" on picking Anita Blake.... :P but it's ok, a friend from the site really introduced me to the series.

Let's see if I had to pick a different character for some non-sexual reasons... Alanna of Trebond from Tamora Pierce's Lioness Rampant series, et al. She is an awesome fantasy lead character, she kicks major butt on the battleground becoming a knight and eventually King's Champion. She has all kinds of magic powers, but my favorite is communicating with animals, like she can call them to battle to help her side.

** edited because my brain things faster than my fingers type and I didn't catch it.
